  1. I would agree, rarely have i been to a poor meeting at Wolves although i only attend occasionally, i do think it is one of the best tracks and i would also agree that Peterborough is also and a shame they are no in the EL any more, i have also seen some terrific racing at Swindon and of course Poole. some seem to be blaming the weather but Poole were there last week and there was the only genuine pass that comes to mind is when Iversen passed Dakota North in heat 15. Ellis fell heavily in that meeting so maybe he had a bit of extra track knowledge the other away riders lacked but what i would say is that the track was not at fault for Ellis falling.
  2. I agree with you, it may be a tight track but i've seen meetings there when there have been passing in almost every race and usually an enjoyable evenings entertainment.
  3. In last years EL final, Janowski overtook Hans And Harris in one race, so it can't be just the bikes are different and it wasn't because the Poole track was full of holes and as i have said the racing at Peterborough was always exciting and i suspect it still is.
  4. I am no track guru but i have been to Kings Lynn many times over the last few years and just isn't the same as it used to be,very few riders seem to be able to overtake and it wasn't much better last week when Poole were there. My own track gets a lot of flack most of which is fair but if your going to claim it is the best track then there should be some passing in a meeting. I haven't been to Peterborough lately but i bet they get more passes in one race than we had tonight.
  5. Always liked PK, an absolute gentleman,a true legend of the sport and still a fantastic rider.
  6. Yes kings lynn you will find out if you are contenders but i dont think they are that scary and could miss the play offs as could coventry who are better with kylmarkorpi but still have problems although their reserves look strong. In my opinion mikkel bech is a massive talent and with kennett and nilsson going well really good chance of doing something this year
  7. Definately play off contenders, probably about 6 teams who will contest it and lakeside are one of them with no real weak links , at the moment one of the favourites i would say, cant see them getting beat at home and strong away, getting AJ back is a major boost
  8. Difficult to judge lakeside on one meeting against a team with riders who clearly dont like the lakeside track but they do look good, i have seen eddie kennett recently and he seems to be a lot better than a couple of seasons ago and i did say he could do a job for poole, he is on a bargain average and can only improve especially at a track he has always ridden well
  9. What idiot decided Barker on a t/r was a good idea with Doyle in the next race not that it will matter to the end result.
  10. Can't see Leicester getting anything tonight, Jonsson won't get beaten and Walasek will be good for about 2, he hates Lakeside more than Holder!!
  11. I thought it wasn't a terrible meeting, been to worse but it did seem to take along time to get the early races and i was surprised after so many delays that there was a interval, thought the track was ok although there were a few crashes on the same bend which makes you think there may have been a problem there but i think most, if not all the crashes were due to over riding.
  12. No idea if he got a mechanic but assume he did as the mechanic would have had a lot of work to do after his spill where he got too much grip and headed straight for the fence which was when Porsing got injured, luckily Ellis was able to continue, ia m also glad i got it wrong
  13. 17.7.2.2 For a missing #6 then the Guest may be one from Tier 1 with a lower Grading or any Rider from either the Tier 1 Guest List or Tier 2 List.
  14. He may be comfortable at the back! Can't see him scoring many, according to his twitter he hasn't got a mechanic for tonight yet!
  15. Good old CVS, never lets you down!! Don't get me wrong we are very grateful!!
  16. A shame about Newman, love watching ride and a bit worried about Adam Ellis guesting but if Paul Starke rides like last night maybe not a problem. Surprising scores from Kings Lynn heat leaders last night but i suspect they will be alot better at home.
  17. Big well done to the team, thought we would struggle after Kyle's withdrawal but i was not counting on the terrific Paul Starke, what a debut, we will need two reserves tomorrow so we need to pick our guest carefully, not sure who is available or eligible. i have said i am not Dakota north's biggest fan but he rode very well tonight and pleasantly surprised, Better get some sleep now as got a long drive to Norfolk tomorrow
  18. You don't exactly need ear defenders at a speedway meeting do you!
  19. Arn't most stadiums dog tracks as well, they can hardly ban dogs from stadiums can they!! Don't see what the problem is, the dog owner is the best judge whether it is a safe environment for their dog or not, if the dog is highly strung and gets easily frightened by noise then the owner wouldn't take it with them would they.
