He has always been a pretty decent gater as far as i remember and that can only help, yes he jumps the start now and again but that is also not a bad thing because you rarely get excluded for it, so worse case is a re-run. We should win tonight but probably not as much as predicted because Gomolski won't score many so others have to cover but our reserves should do well although Roynon is a pretty good replacement for Blackbird.

only started getting racing when it rained, should have continued, -
Going myself for sure, maybe see you there and Shovvy too. We have a good chance in this one, Freddie and P.K are woeful at the moment, Kyle goes well there so we should be ok at reserve and i see Josh Bates only had three rides at Peterborough tonight, no idea why but not a positive from Wolves perspective, Wells and Thorsell are ok ut museilek isn't great so hopefully a away win.

The issue being discussed is about this meeting when the rules are known and meetings can be completed with a heat 10 cut off, if meetings had to be all 15 heats we would never get the season finished.
-
I wish i hadn't!!

They only wanted it called off in heat 9 because they were losing, do you think if they were winning they would still have wanted it called off, they should have ridden heat 10. If they didn't fine them it opens another can of worms for meetings to be manipulated. What they did was against the rules and were rightly fined.
-
And the ones stupid enough to go got stung for !8 pounds, i would suggest there would have been quite a few more if the prices had been reduced.
-
I completely agree with the decision to fine them, we all remember meetings in far worse conditions and fans are continually being short changed by promotions not giving value for money, Coventry still wanted 18 pounds for a meeting that was never going to go the distance and on monday i watched 15 heats for a tenner with a pretty decent programme too which is rare in itself and why is it that clubs produce a programme that covers two meetings and expect us to pay extra, when especially away fans, we are unlikely to attend both meetings.

I know Poole are not being blamed for once but some have said if the scores had been reversed perhaps the respective management would have had different views which by implication some do blame Poole for ensuring the meeting was completed in 10 heats. Coventry themselves may have had a different point of view had they have been winning, in retrospect i suspect they probably feel now that they shouldn't have tried so hard to get it on and let the track stay waterlogged as it must have been earlier in the day.
-
When i got there the track looked like a muddy field in places but they had done a good job to get even in that condition, it wouldnt have started normally but because the cameras were there they probably felt they had to gjve it a go. It was never going to be a great meeting with the track in that condition, riders accept it but they dont like it and neither do fans who had paid 18 quid to get in only to see a 10 heat meeting.
-
They were always going to get fined for refusing to race and if Coventry hadn't been losing would they have acted in a different way.
-
All sport is dictated to by tv, they pay so they rule. If it had been waterlogged it would have been called off. If it wasnt on tv it would have been off and once it started it was never going to be called off before heat 10. If Coventry wanted it off why did they try so hard to get it on.
-
A lot of people have said it shouldn't have started that is not the issue.

Kings Lynn V Wolves 16th July

Saw P.K on tv last night looked very poor, don't see changing the riding order will help,Wolves are a team with a few riders off form not just Freddie. -
Alltogether a disappointing night in Swindon, arrived in slight drizzle but track was in great condition it seemed from my point of view. All the Swindon riders looked good with the exception of Krcmar and i think he is better than he has performed up to now, Batch looked really quick early on, after a couple of problems, Hans looked ok, Wright and Zengota were terrific, Darcy was the best rider on show but we all expected that, SCB said he hoped he got 8 or less but that was never going to happen. As for Poole well they were all fairly poor with the possible exception of Newman, Holder was awful for him, Janowski wasn't the rider he has been this season, Watt only rode well once as did Gomolski although Watts problems could have been mechanical as Newman looked slow on his bike and then it broke down,Starke had a massive crash and after that was probably feeling the effects so no blame on him, North just isn't the rider he was earlier in the season, don't know why. So all in all a bad day but this team is better than tonight's showing and although a change or two may be in the pipeline we will make the play offs and better performances are round the corner. I said at the start of the season Watt and North will let us down and although they have surprised me at different times, i still feel they have the potential to let us down when it matters.
