  1. Nagel will be a top rider I am sure but as you say inexperienced, my choice would have been Flint or Dan T.
  2. Howarth was not fast enough and he had not gated all night, he only got a paid win in heat 13 because Lawson crashed. He did gate in the super heat but was easily passed. In my opinion the wrong choice.
  3. Nagel has done heat 15 before though and he would have given it everything. Howarth only got a paid win in heat 13 because Lawson crashed. Howarth was off the pace at that point, he was so far behind in heat 13 when Lawson crashed. Not complaining though, I was over the moon when Cami put Howarth in. Bomber knew the situation, there would have no point in flying past Lawson and Cook to get the win.
  4. Yes but to pick Howarth who hadn't gated all night was clearly a poor decision.
  5. Yes Nagel would have been a good choice too, either way definitely not Howarth. Harris absolutely gave his all, he was amazing.
  6. Lewis Kerr has really come good lately, I have been critical of him during the season and doubted if he had it in him but he has definitely come good when it mattered most. I think most would have put Flint in the superheat, it was obvious Howarth was not going to trouble the scorers after heat 15.
  7. It would have no good Harris passing in superheat because Howarth didnt have the speed to get in the points, Bomber knew that so tried to help Howarth.
  8. Terrible management by Brown, I was worried but once I heard he was using Howarth in the superheat, I knew we would win. How could he possibly think he deserved a second chance.Flint had just given Zach a very hard time in heat 14 and Dan T had been good until passed by Kerr.
  9. Thankfully for Steve he has you on ignore. Lawson and Zach turned up when we needed them. Kerr was excellent too. Starke and Tobias were poor, Cairns unlucky to shed chain.
  10. Well by the crowd level, I assume people did not arrive at the stadium then go home appalled by the 2 pound increase. This is not the first time it has been increased for a grand final and Poole are not the only club that have done it. If you think the anti Poole rhetoric is just about the track then you are entitled to that opinion but we all know if the racing had been good and Poole had lost or only won by a small margin, the laughter and joy on here would be 50 pages by now, saying how we stupidly messed up the track to suit the opposition. I cannot believe you honestly think that any other televised meeting that was not good racing would get anywhere near the amount of flak Poole get.
  11. Personally I dont see any problem with paying extra for a grand final, I am sure many clubs fans would only be too happy to pay extra for a grand final.
  12. Not sure I understand unless you mean when he left due to personal reasons, having problems at home, nothing to do with the Poole track.
  13. What occasion was this then? Dont remember him ever doing that. Totally agree he was a pleasure to watch.
  14. Really I doubt Tony R had any issues with any track, he loved riding at Poole and we all loved having him.
  15. Well done Comets, why aren't you in the final then as you are obviously the best team?
  16. Anders is not the best gater but we have a team that are generally good gaters so we set up the track to suit them. Glasgow knew what it would be like so cannot have been a shock and anyone buying the stream knew this too so why should anyone be disappointed.
  17. He only scored 4 points at Edinburgh too, what excuse did he give for that dire performance.
  18. And if that happens you would imagine most of those points would be won from the gate.
