Oxford V Poole 15/4/26 BSN 1st leg

Its never boring when you win. I realise losing an entertaining meeting can be enjoyable but sport is about winning. Crowds do not turn up for teams that lose every week. -

But he didnt even beat PHB in one race or Kvech who also had a terrible night. Cant help thinking he must have had mechanical issues. -

I would say the end justifies the means. -

We would not have won the title if we had prepared the track to the liking of the Glasgow riders. We only smoked Harris and Howarth in the super heat when the track had changed. Harris was unbeaten up to that point. -

You paid for a one-off stream when it was being shown by BSN! Surely it is much cheaper for any speedway fan to buy one of the packages offered by BSN. -

The track was not to Chris Harris liking because we prepared it for our riders not yours. What is wrong with that? The Oxford track was prepared with no material on it due to weather forecast, that is fair enough but it did produce a dusty track, not why we lost though, they were just gating better. -

Yes agree with that, I noticed at Kings Lynn he had two wins then two last places which could well have been machinery issues. -

Lawson is usually good at Oxford so surprised, Newman was poor too but rest were as expected really. -

Bowes should have been taken out of his last ride but it didn't matter as Mcdiarmid broke down. -

As someone who was there, I would say the track was dire, I assume track wasnt watered due to possibility of rain so it was very dusty and passing was almost impossible. They did go round with the water truck once but it was still very dusty. Riss was a big miss for Oxford but our riders were very poor early on, most surprising was Lawson. If Bowes rides like that again he deserves to go,awful from him. In the end we did well to score 39. -

Rushen has been good for Poole but he will struggle against the more experienced Edwards and the track should suit PHB in my opinion. Obviously Ipswich have a weakness in the heat leader department so they need to score heavily elsewhere to compensate. Nicholls seems to have started the season on the back foot for some reason, maybe his age catching up with him I dont know. Overall I would expect a narrow home win,Fricke was in 4 of the last 5 races at Ipswich which made a big difference. -
