  1. Doyle is no Bewley but a bit of a surprise signing as you would expect Ipswich would have had him at the start of the season if he was available.
  2. Not a great meeting, there was some passing but Edinburgh were very poor and uninterested in competing much, the track was not that bad considering the weather but only one side seemed to want to attack it.
  3. Although Cairns average is higher on the averages it is lower on the latest championship declarations. It will most likely change when the next declarations are issued.
  4. Oh good, I mean that is terrible news for Belle Vue!!!
  5. In fairness whoever they get to replace Dan would be a downgrade. Lambert would be my guess when the season finishes in Poland, until then guests or r/r.
  6. No I was not there but what I saw of the crash on tv, he did not torpedo Pjiper and was unfortunate to get excluded.
  7. Yes but this Edinburgh team are quite a bit short of that Redcar team and I think we will win fairly easily.
  8. I am assuming Ace said he would get him back again!! Cairns is not dirty at all. It is all in Pjiper's mind.
  9. Did not watch it personally, I suppose Ace said he will get him back next time!!
  10. No just an opinion based on his past history. I hope he returns, he is a top rider in this league when fit.
  11. Also another point would be they changed the time for Cardiff so people could travel back the same day but the Manchester gp is at 7! Plus if you were not rushing home you could walk and have a nice meal afterwards, you cant do that after the gp tonight, you have to eat beforehand or have something from the overpriced food outlets.
  12. And now we are moaning because we no longer have it at Cardiff which has a lot to offer. I would add that I thought the last gp was better racing wise and Bewley winning was brilliant for the British fans. I did think they could have risked one more year and it must have been a late decision as tickets were still available until December. I also enjoyed the fan zone in Cardiff but that got depleted year on year and some shows, like the bmx, were cut on the day because the organisers prioritised what was happening on the main stage which I thought was a shame.
  13. Obviously a log of justifiable criticism of the track but it it hadnt been so bumpy Bomber would never have won, he loves a challenge! As a Poole fan Lindback winning was another highlight especially as I had a decent bet on him. Criticism of the hotels is justified also but you didn't have to stay in Cardiff, we hardly ever did preferring to stay outside Cardiff and get a train in.
  14. Part of the enjoyment was the whole city seemed to embrace it and people were talking about it everywhere you went. Also you could guarantee it would be on although the drainage and facilities at the NSS seem to be so good the meetings there are rarely affected.
  15. I went to every Cardiff gp too and I miss it very much. It was an occasion and a big event, now it is great racing on a great racetrack but a lot less people see it live.
  16. Stayed at Bridgend a few times and Porthcawl caravan site both not far on the train. Never understood why people stayed in Cardiff and paid crazy prices for hotels. Like you quid over the years especially when Bomber won.
  17. Cardiff was a great occasion and the last gp held there was pretty good racing wise, the year before was awful though and that is probably what killed it although I thought they pulled the plug too soon. Nothing wrong with transport, plenty of trains and buses. You didn't have to book an expensive hotel, we always stayed locally, last time was Caerphilly 30 mins on the train.
  18. Yes every opportunity is taken to kick us, even when it is not our fault. It is fair to say sometimes we bring on ourselves though!
