  1. Not sure you will have any chance of a win at Glasgow but Oxford at home should be a walk in the park.
  2. Yes it is a business decision to ride in the lower tier where the club gets as much revenue as the top tier but the costs are less, this is partly why the top division only has 6 teams, it must be very difficult to afford top riders especially when you dont get big crowds every week.In football you have to invest massively if you intend to stay in the top division once promoted or you get relegated.
  3. What I don't agree with is why someone has to be excluded, if the incident happened on the first bend it would have been all four back. As it was the first lap, there could be a certain amount of leniency in the rules for this type of incident where no one is really at fault.
  4. Looking at his scores for Kings Lynn he could do with a bit of Championship racing to sharpen him up!
  5. Maybe more to do with they had better riders available.
  6. Bit concerned about the weather Steve. Forecast not looking great.
  7. Especially when he has said he hates riding at Oxford.
  8. Yes still a good team with Bowes performing poorly and I suppose being at reserve we would likely see an improvement but if we had an injury he would have to step up and not sure he is capable.
  9. Pretty sure David Hasselhoff is american.
  10. You can rely on Kyle, not so sure about Bowes, the rest of the team cant cover for him all season.
  11. Yes I agree, we are always castigated for our track and told its not all about winning but if you dont win meetings crowd levels drop even if your track produces great speedway. I think Poole would make changes like bringing in Newman for Gilkes recently. We would not have employed Craig Cook and he would not have wanted to be at Poole, if he is out for a while then change him and Vinnie would be a good plan, no idea who for though.
  12. Exactly, these days you should be grateful you have a team to support, a couple of home defeats early in the season is not season ending. The list of teams that are closed is very large, to avoid being the next one is paramount. I went to Oxford a couple of weeks ago and heard someone say it was the last meeting but thankfully that wasnt the case.
  13. Maybe time bring a ringer in, like Glasgow have done in recent seasons.
  14. In my view Cooper turned left but probably more that he meant to, realising this Luke tried to avoid him but could not. To castigate him and calling for a ban is way over the top, I am sure Rob Lyon has had a word with him and he will learn from his mistake.
  15. That should be with one t, not to be confused with the much heralded Colin Pratt.
  16. Sometimes weather dictates as does the opposition, it was a very one sided contest as born out by the score.Klindt was terrific no one else turned up. Allen was his normal self at Wimborne Road, the rest were awful. Lawson did not gate in one race but had little trouble passing both bears before the 3rd bend. Ace was his usual self moaning about his fall, never his fault.
  17. Will looked fast last night and unfortunate to not get heat 15 after apparently blowing an engine after heat 14.
  18. Klindt was incredible last night, not even Lawson could get anywhere near him and once in front he pulled clear.
  19. I agree, Lambert has been shown too much loyalty. Poole have never been a club to keep an underperforming rider, we just got lucky with Newman, he has come in and done a job way above expectations, the form he is in he would have been picked up by someone else. It would have been crazy not to keep him. We all wish Dan Gilkes the best of luck this season with his respective clubs.
  20. Will Cairns was fantastic tonight, shame about the engine, I suppose that scuppered any chance he had of doing a fully deserved heat 15.
  21. Yes I agree I think he will improve, he lacks confidence at the moment but I am sure he will get better.
  22. He did ok, a little improvement, riding at 2 suited him, still looks uneasy and lacking confidence on the bike but Redcar were so poor it maybe made him look better.
