  1. Good point, I have no idea, never been to Owlerton so cant speak from experience. Maybe to give the home team some sort of advantage I dont know.
  2. The riders know the issues at Owlerton so dont race so close to the fence, if you want to risk it, you know what may happen.
  3. Riders make mistakes and get injured, sometimes their fault, sometimes not, its a dangerous sport. Foord will be better with more experience.
  4. Thats good news, I think Anders Rowe has alot of potential.
  5. I think you are giving them too much credit. They will finish near bottom with that team. Allen is a 3rd heat leader at best, Lambert and Mountain are 2nd strings, they have no rider of 2nd heat leader quality.
  6. Wow that looks quite a poor team, Zaine rode here before and wasnt very good, dont know about Declan but he is going to have to be very good otherwise wooden spoon awaits.
  7. I would have kept both personally but I do think Vinnie has a bit of maturing to do in my opinion before he reaches his full potential.
  8. I think he proved in the play offs that he is much better than his current average. 4.4 is a steal. In my opinion it wasnt a choice between Vinnie and Toby, always getting Toby, dropping Vinnie helps elsewhere in the team.
  9. Not sure i see the point of a stronger temp replacement for Cairns, also Toby came in on a 4 point average so why do we need to get to 5 points left.
  10. Above average Dane in my opinion and a never give up attitude, just what most fans like.
  11. I would not think Howarth as he is on a downward path. Kerr is a possible as several have mentioned.
  12. A numbers game does not mean it was a straight choice between Vinnie and Toby, we always wanted Toby back, not having Vinnie just means we can have a stronger rider elsewhere in the team.
  13. Cant see the awful Ace being in the team, never seen him have anywhere near a decent meeting at Poole
  14. As I said at the time, Lewy knows nothing. He edited to say Toby was back to cover himself. Anyway great news he is back, a crowd favourite and a real battler.
  15. Certainly cant be based on facts or all known recent form.
  16. You have to do what is needed to make yourself competitive, my team has always been ruthless but every year they are competing for the honours in whatever league they are in. Riders like Becker should be doing better.
  17. Ipswich appear stronger despite only being marginally below the limit.
  18. I think Rowe for Howarth is an improvement, the problem Sheffield have is at reserve .
  19. Wouldn't say Masters is on the decline but I would agree with your comments on Becker. Cook, Howarth are declining, Hagon is going to struggle to compete with some of the other RS riders. Fricke is a good rider but will not improve so difficult to see how you can avoid the wooden spoon.
  20. Shame Poole aren't meeting Leicester in the k.o.cup as they wouldn't need to strengthen much!
  21. If Jye can reproduce the form he showed when guesting for Sheffield in the 2023 play offs and when he was at Belle Vue then Workington have made a very good signing. That is quite a big if though.
