Was brought up with it, quite a few family members used to go although all have since been lost to the sport, and quite literally I got dragged along with them to play in the dirt as a small kid. Have no idea what it is that's captivated me for 40 years, the smell, the noise, the travel, the danger of it all? Probably a combination of it all, along with the supporters who follow the sport, who generally are the best fans of any sport I've come across. Still love it despite it being years now since I've had a team to support, and that's the only downer. I just couldn't get behind another team like I did my Racers.

Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?

Rob Painter sponsors Lewis Bridger anyway doesn't he? Wouldn't be banging on about role models if it was him. -

Silence......... -
My golden boy? I'm not a massive Woffinden fan, in fact couldn't stand him a few years back. Just not thick enough to think Team GB could do without him in the SWC. You obsession with him is beyond laughable now, much like you. Used to be entertaining reading/replying to your bizarre views, statements and claims but you've fast become a parody of yourself.

I still wouldn't go for Cook. He's got limited experience of riding against the worlds best, and I'm not sure he has the mentality or equipment to deal with it.

You trying to tell us you're a member of the BSPA now as well? -
I think the team will end up along the lines of... 1. Woffinden (capt) 2. King 3. Lambert 4. Bomber Res. Bates I wouldn't touch Cook for a barge pole. He may well be a home track rider, but relys too much on his gating, which may do him ok in the EL, but won't be a match against most of the other riders lining up in the final. Bomber seems to go up a notch when competing in a team and you can't beat his bulldog spirit. If it's not Bomber, I'd go for Worral and give him the experience.

F*cking isn't banned or illegal to use either - just frowned upon by TV companies who will replay fights between riders over and over again

Post like this ^^^ are such a massive contribution to the forum. Good to see your Gavan obsession hasn't waned during his ban Starry, don't worry he'll be back as himself soon enough, and we can look forward to the countless inane responses you trade with each other. -

I'd go for Bates at reserve and put Lambert in the main team along with Woffinden, King and probably Bomber over Cook. -
Yep, like you do with us too eh Starry? Don't be mentioning proof and Robert72 in the same sentence - that's a dodgy subject.

People discussing speedway, on a speedway discussion forum! Whatever next!! What's up Starry? Feeling left out cos there's no Poole connection to this thread? -

This thread is pointless but it's given you a platform, and far from being sad, I'm quite a happy go lucky individual actually. You did mean that didn't you or was that another attempt at an insult? My opinion is worth the same as everyone else's in this matter - jack rubbish! Tai will line up for Team GB whatever you, your dog, your imaginary friends or anyone else thinks. Btw - you never answered the question which is unlike you, do you know for a fact Darcy's onion and JL are one and the same? -

Again Robert72, all your own opinions which despite meaning jack, you are entitled to. You sure about JL & Darcy's Onion? Know that as a fact do you? -

Just to add a footnote.... Whether you think he should or shouldn't, he will. He'll also probably be Team GB's top scorer, saving us from complete embarrasment, and the younger riders in the team will get to learn from the experience of competiting with him. -
As well as massaging Robert72's ego with this thread, can we also keep it going to get to at least 100 pages please? I've had a £1M bet with a friend that it will reach 100 pages, with the payout from the bet going to the LGBT dolphin society!

I think Schlein's case was probably more to do with the fact that he'd settled here, had a British wife and kids in British schools. It's more likely he became a British citizen because of this, and not actually sure if he's raced in a team competition for Oz since. -

Wackie replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
That could have just been people making presumptions though because he'd lived in Oz. Did Sue & Rob actually have citizenships? I've a mate who lives in Brisbane who's been out there 12 years. Her husband took his citizenship test last year as it helped with work apparently, but she's still classed as a Brit with a British passport as are their kids. -
If he doesn't use this forum, why would it bother him?
-
He's obviously not anyone of note if indeed he ever did ride a speedway bike, but definately more entertaining to watch on here than he would have been on track. Still, at least if he's kept occupied on BSF it takes his mind off of stalking Gemini at Leicester

I don't recall you ever denying you are Rob Homer, nor have I made any mention of his personal situation. I think it's fair to say though his career was crap. If you have stated it, it was probably once, a long time agoo. Surely the amount of times it's been mentioned you are one and the same person you'd have reminded people of that fact - but no. You've let people carry on because it creates attention for you. Do I honestly think rides will come on here, no, not many. Not when there's cock wobblers like you around pretending to be something or someone you're quite obviously not.
