  1. If Tony has family problems then it's no ones business but Tony's! Such speculation really p****s me off. Riders have their professional life which we are more than entitled to pass comment on, but then like us all. they have a private life too, and I'm damn sure I wouldn't like speculation about my private life splashed accross the net! Think Jeffster has hit the nail on the head though. Tony has been awesome over the past few years and we've become accustomed to him wiping the floor with his opponents. He's not having a bad year, just one below his normal standards. We saw and spoke to Tony prior to the GP in Prague where he seemed relaxed, happy and healthy. Thought I'd read somewhere that Tony has a new tuner and is using new frames this season. If there is anything wrong with Tony's performances this year maybe these changes have something to do with it. Or is that far too simple and boring explanation for some?
  2. Benfield are running it in the top of the back straight grandstand. Not sure how to get tickets though! I do Found out hospitality tickets are £65 with seats and a meal. Not bad at all. Got the feeling H Man won't be dipping in his pocket for WTC tickets. Who is it sponsoring the event again???
  3. Tony Hadley was pants! Sounded like a club singer who'd normally do a turn on a Saturday night at a working mens club. Sam did ok, but like other's thought he cocked up the rider intro's a bit. Fireworks were amazing though.
  4. Euphony certainly putting their money where their mouth is! Well done Mr Faithful.
  5. 1. Tony Rickardsson 2. Mark Loram 3. Jason Grump 4. Leigh Adams
  6. We don't mind waiting a couple of years, but you should start educating him now on UK speedway and he can practice his English too. Get him to repeat over & over Reading are better than Newport.... Reading are better than Newport
  7. Darija, love your avatar. Don't suppose there's any chance of you recommending Reading to your little bro to start his UK career.
  8. Yep, well done the Brits too, but one wonders if Boxhall would have even made the final if Matej hadn't have been fenced. Still good experience & confidence boost for the boy.
  9. Thanks Tomaz, would have been such a shame if Matej had not qualified having done all the hard work in the qualifying heats.
  10. Can anybody confirm the qualifiers from yesterday? Would seem a bit harsh if Matej didn't qualify after finishing top in the qualifying heats but missed out because after being fenced & not being able to take his place in the semi or final
  11. I'm quite looking forward to Sam presenting the British GP, he's enthusiatic enough and should get the crowd going. Might be fun if ***** * doesn't behave himself!
  12. William Hill are having a laugh aren't they! A less than fit Scotty at 25/1 and Loram on a big Polish track a 33/1! I know who I'd put my money on! Holta looks a good bet as well at 40/1.
  13. 1. Per Jonsson 2. Tony Rickardsson 3. Hans Nielsen 4. Erik Gundersen 5. Simon Wigg 6. Jimmy Nilsen 7. Mark Loram
  14. 4 Days in Sweden Woody!! Make sure you take plenty of dosh with you, it's not the cheapest of countries to visit.
  15. Always cheer on the Brits. If the Brits drop out, I cheer on TRick. If Trick drops out I cheer on anyone else who's racing against N Pedersen!
  16. Hmmm, wonder if other riders at Cardiff will be shouting to those on track "He's behind you!"
  17. Im sorry but i think thats perthetic.... Dont even know why you started this topic...as its a waste off time+space... Im going to give him a good reception Maybe because a large number of people have voiced on this forum their displeasure at the way Pedersen deals with competitors who get in his way, they want to make their feelings known to him at Cardiff. It's no different to the way the riders & their teams reacted by giving Hancock a huge cheer and pats on the back following the re-run of ht 21 in Prague last weekend, and I wouldn't call any of them pathetic! No-one is asking you to personally jeer, boo, blow kisses or do anything else at Cardiff, you can cheer, clap, jump up and down or do cart wheels if you wish when he's announced to the crowd but I wouldn't expect you to be in the majority!
  18. Mark Loram Scott Nicholls Lee Richardson Joe Screen David Howe David Norris Danny Bird Chris Neath Gary Havelock Carl Stonehewer
  19. after watching the first two hours of the gp (i.e. no racing!) on tape I can see how ridiculous this comment was and it really is time to get to the opticians and start drinking soft drinks But the soft drinks were more expensive than the beer! I was on a budget so it made sense for me to drink the cheaper option (that's my excuse anyway)
  20. Had a fantastic weekend and even the rain couldn't spoil the party! Great city and only saw one stag do all weekend! Good to meet you too Splatty (even though I wasn't what you expected! ) Probably met a few others as well, but must admit after being at the stadium over 4 hours before the meeting actually started I wasn't the most coherent person that evening.
  21. Oh yeh.....forgot about that........and my autpgraph book....What else? An umbrella! Looking at forecast there could be some rain on Saturday Take your NP fleece as well, doesn't look as though it'll be warm either!
  22. I'll take my blanket, fold up chair and flask to help maintain my sensible image, should be fine as long as no-one try's talking to me.
