  1. Not if they were last out of the gate they wouldn't. yeah, at the back. Andre Compton & Stoney still get a "warm welcome" from the home fans at Smallmead too.
  2. You'll be pleased to hear Shortoi that although Pedersen, like Nicholls stood on the rostrum, neither scored any points in the final. You'll be even more p!ssed off though when you watch the Sky coverage & see Pedersen touching the tapes & getting away with it earlier in the meeting too!
  3. From what I could hear, thought the musical choices were excellent. Land of Hope & Glory was brilliant hairs standing on end stuff, but the pièce de résistance was the first semi final when Bjarne got wrongly excluced. Don't know if the music was aimed at the Ref or NP but I nearly spat my JD out when I heard When the sun goes down by the Arctic Monkeys blasting out........ "And what a scummy man Just give him half a chance I bet he'll rob you if he can" and "Cause he's a scumbag, don't you know I said he's a scumbag, don't you know" Shame he didn't see fit to do the same when he ran into the back of Adams & B Pedersen.
  4. I know Lupus, had to read it twice but I agree too. Pedersen can count himself VERY lucky to have been in the final at all. Should have been excluded for touching the tapes in his 2nd (?) ride let alone the let off's he got for riding into the back of Adams & Bjarne Pedersen. The ref clearly didn't want to be outdone by Graham Flint at the PL Pairs last night, well congratulations Mr Wojaczek as to$$er contests go I think you just about pipped Flint on that performance tonight. Congratulations to Crumpy & Greg though, both really looked up for it tonight. Commiserations to Adams & BP, takes a lot for them to publically lose their rag but their comments were fully justified tonight. Shame Gollob didn't fancy it tonight, and can't believe Nicholls choked in the final after riding well all evening.
  5. It's not all bad Adzy & Deano. Just think of the cheap booze & decent food you'll be able to enjoy whilst having one of the best views of the meeting, while others are being ripped off for warm beer & lab manufactured hotdogs & have been charged to cross into Wales. If it gets really exciting as well, you can stand outside you back door & let blast your flamable liquid air horn until your hearts content (or until the neighbours come knocking anyway) Hope everyone watching at home has a good night - JD's open, beers are cooling & I'm off to light the barbie now.
  6. Last night I was quite philosophical about us being dumped out of the final, thought it was just one of those decisions that went against us on a close finish. Reading some of the posts from neutral fans on here though it's starting to feel more & more like we were well & truly robbed Gutted for Ulli (he don't like losing) & Lemo who to reel in & pass Doyle on his home track is an achievement in itself - only to have their hard work taken away from them by some warped egotist. Hope Graham Flint isn't the ref tomorrow at Smallmead, he may find he needs an escape ladder down into the car park if he is!
  7. Unlikely, there's generally not enough travelling Racers support to make that much noise.
  8. Congratulations Worky sounds like justice was done in the end. Hopefully, they'll always be next year for our turn.
  9. Doubt that's OTA stadium number, the area code is for Poole/Bournemouth
  10. Thanks for that Nevs Looking forward to seeing quite a few Cardiff refugee's taking in the 2nd round, 2nd leg of the KOC clash between Reading & Somerset. 3pm start time means can still have a nice lie in and time for a fry up before hitting the M4.
  11. Anyone fancy a stop off/detour on the way back from Cardiff can take in Reading v Somerset KOC meeting at 3PM at Smallmead on the Sunday (Somerset lead by 14 points from 1st leg). Sorry for the blatent plug.... actually no I'm not, our club could be up rubbishe creek soon & we need to show the support is there!
  12. I read that The Mad Wellie is back in training and looking forward to taking to the track again at Neil's farewell
  13. Stayed at Pension Klara a few years ago, basic but cheap & would recommend it if you're on a budget. Tram stop directly into main centre virtually outside the door, nice cheap local pub accross the road. Have they got that lift installed yet though? Remember that flight of stairs being a mamouth climb, especially after a few pivo's.
  14. Pedersen didn't hold back when asked what should happen to Olsen for producing tracks like that did he.
  15. I don't think the argument should be about who's the better rider. The point is that the Danish Team Manager did nominated Mads as the wild card for the Danish Grand Prix which was over ruled by Olsen - that's what's out of order. I can't imagine Steachman is too happy about the situation either.
  16. I've seen smoother moto-x circuits than that track tonight. Olsen should be ashamed of himself for firstly producing such a dangerous track, and secondly allowing riders to continue to race on it. He can count himself lucky that it seems he got away with the meeting without a very seriously injured rider on his conscience. When will IMG see sense & kick his arse ouf of the GP's? Personally thought the Gollob/Jonsson incident was just a racing accident, not helped by the state of the track. Best wishes to AJ, NKI, Andersen, Bomber, Dryml, Greg, Tomicek and any others I missed who may have picked up an injury tonight.
  17. Davy Watt wanted to ride a wet track, now that surprises me!
  18. Apparently a riot nearly happened this afternoon when someone near the front of the queue shouted "I've got a spare ticket, hands up who wants it?" http://depts.washington.edu/kexp/blog/wp-c...readingfest.jpg
  19. Not unlikely at all, Trick was signed twice by two different teams who fully knew that he could only commit to a certain amount of meetings, Hancock was the same at Reading last year - although on that occasion the promotion didn't make it common knowledge. Eastbourne signed Nicki last season knowing he couldn't commit to a full EL programme, imo had the points limit allowed they would have done the same this season too.
  20. Unfortunately most people don't know Shovlar like you do Shazzy. Hope all the bollox he's been spouting the past few weeks and again this morning didnt' deter people from travelling down to Poole today. Still if it did, he may have actually done people a favour. Sounds like it was a bit of a snoozefest! From the gate....... From the gate........ From the gate One good race by the looks of the live updates. Congratulations to Nicki P, starting the season like he finished the last one.
  21. That comment could have quite possibly put anyone who was planning to drive down this morning off attending the meeting had it been made by anyone other than Shovlar! Hope weather holds off and those who are attending have a great afternoon. Personally I'm sat here at home looking more & more forward to the start of the MotoGP season, and I'm guessing there'll be more dust/dirt on the track in Qatar and definately more passing than they'll be at Wimbourne Rd this afternoon.
