  1. I very much doubt it wjasica. Seems to me that a few people have taken things far too seriously and can't see beyond all the heat of the moment stuff. We've had riders before trying to knock 6 bells out of each other on track and fans of said riders sticking their oar in saying things like "next time he rides here, I'll have him" etc. NOTHING EVER HAPPENS - It's all talk, and as others have stated all a big pantomine! I'm pretty sure Hans Andersen is, to some extent, using comments made on this forum and his own guest book (where comments made were far worse than on here) as an excuse to duck out of British Speedway for a match or two. He's not flavour of the month at the present time with many people involved in British Speedway from promoters, team managers, riders all the way down to the fans, and his mysterious 24 hour injury will do nothing but add fuel to the fire of people thinking his non-appearance was really due to a guilty conscience! I'm sure rival riders have said things to Andersen previously after on-track incidents (Floppy & Lee Richardson spring to mind recently) which he's shrugged off, and got on with things. Personally, I'd be more worried about other riders making comments than fans on the internet, after all they're the one's in close proximatey to him throwing 500cc motocycles around bends just inches from him. Instead he's chosen to claim he fears for his safety because of some off the cuff, heat of the moment comments made by people who will probably only see him ride on tv this season. I mean, can you really see fans carrying breeze blocks into stadiums hidden under their jackets to try to lob at him as he wizzes past at 60mph! Me thinks, Mr Andersen knows there are far more people than just the fans who weren't amused by his antics & tv interview on Saturday night and is trying to spin things around slightly now to get a sympathy vote! The sooner Hans finds his bottle, the sooner this will be over and forgotten.
  2. I'd just leave things alone. If the webmaster and about five moderators have not removed the posts you don't like then they have obviously not crossed the forum boundries. I don't agree with a lot of things that have been said, but it does give one an insight into the personalities of some forum members and whose posts to bother reading in future. If you start emailing the webmaster and complaining he might just get so cheesed off with it all that he closes the forum down and we don't want that. I'm not sure that I want to be a part of a 'family forum' that appears to endorse the throwing of a breeze block at a Speedway Rider whilst he is competing. Maybe it was a bit of a stupid comment, but probably made in the heat of the moment and not intended to be taken seriously. To be fair, what are the chances of someone actually getting the timing right of throwing a breeze block 5m or so at Andersen and actually hitting him whilst he's riding past at 60mph? presuming of course he doesn't suddenly slow down/shut off* at that particular moment due to him spinning his t*ts off/or to allow a Swedish rival through to clinch the SWC* * delete alternative option to suit personal view.
  3. Get over it Flyin Ryan, there have always been villans in speedway, Andersen & Pedersen are just modern day versions. A few years down the line they will have been forgotten and new villans will be around. Andersen himself said he expected some stick about the incident on Saturday & went on to say it wouldn't bother him. At the end of the day, it's only a sport and a little bit of needle just adds to the drama and excitement of it. Here's hoping Eastbourne v Ippo is on tonight!
  4. 4 attempts but this was the first one where he was able to track a fully fit squad and look what he nearly achieved! The fans like Middlo, the riders like Middlo why change something that's finally beginning to work?
  5. Seems like it worked for Hans last night SCB, bet the amount he agreed with the Swedes was more than £20 though!
  6. Ahh, that's just Boycie doing what Aussies do best...... whinging! Of course, in his time Mr Boyce has never over ridden a little, or picked up a bit too much drive coming out of a corner has he! Lindback is young, keen and inexperienced when it comes to meetings of this standard, but has a huge will to win - and that's maybe something one or two of the Aussies from last nights squad could do with a lesson in.
  7. Ah yes Orion, I also remember that day well. Swindon fans around Smallmead already celebrating an away win over their old foes before ht 15 had finished - then along came Janusz with that superb cutback on the last bend to shoot past Olly Allen and a draw for Reading - yep, pure class. Quick message to other Promoters out there who have now probably been made to sit up & take notice of who this young talented Pole is:... HANDS OFF, HE'S OURS!!!! Unfortunately though I can't see Janusz riding for Reading or any other British club for a while. Polish authorities seem to keep a tight reign on where their young prospects ride, and even if they do allow them to sign for British teams seem to be able to pull them back whenever they want.
  8. Wackie

    Who was it?

Was there also a story about Shawn Moran having to pretend to be Kelly at the beginning of his career as he was too young to race over here?
  9. Fantastic result from Matej Zagar, beat every single rider there during the course of the meeting which included some of the top GP stars. The boy definately has class.
  10. Congratulations Janusz, obviously back on form quickly after his recent accident.
  11. And what exactly happened in Prague Jessica ? All the Poles were drunk! They couldnt stand! I got pushed over(Thats how my phone broke) The were p*****g in the bushes! It wasnt very nice! And we didnt even get to see the GP, so we went back to the hotel(Im sure others would have done the same)As people dont want to be stuck around Poles when they are drunk and p*****g everywhere Wasn't just the Poles who were drunk! I take it you were stood on the terraces JY in the middle of the Poles. Why didn't you move somewhere else in the stadium? Maybe next time if you don't like summing it you should buy tickets for the grandstands! Can't blame the Poles for p*ssing everywhere either. After visiting one of the portaloo's early on in the evening I decided to visit the bushes each time afterwards. Shame you decided to go back to your hotel early, you missed one hell of a party. Please don't tar all Poles with the same brush either, just because you had a bad experience with a few. The Poles I met in Prague and at other speedway events over the years have been great and have created brilliant atmospheres.
  12. Maybe something along the lines of "you can kiss your WC hopes goodbye for this year"
  13. 1) I never said they weren't. 2) Good for you, if you can do it, anyone can. 3) It's Reaper to you. 4) You can post as many opinions as you like, dosen't mean I have to agree with them. If I think you're talking out of your bum, I'm entitled to tell you so. A forum enables people to exchange their differing points of view, it's not my fault that yours were complete cobblers. Right well I've wasted enough of my precious time trying to mop your tears up, feel free to call me all the horrible names you can think of & if I can be ar*ed I might ammuse myself reading them later. Oh & if anyone else dosen't agree with my opinions then tough, don't read them. Getting more & more suspicious that GR is in fact Pedersen in disguise! Don't think anyone has dismissed your opinions Reaper, your the one who's attacking anyone who dares to think Pedersen is anything less than a god and can do or say whatever he likes. Obviously your friendly with a Mod on here, as previously your sort of behaviour would have provoked a warning and a Mod note against your posts! I'm very tempted to get myself a warning by telling you exactly what I think about your posts over the past few days, but maybe I'll wait a while to see if one of the Mods does step in (shall I hold my breath? )
  14. Charming! Are you the one who's been giving Pedersen lessons in How to win friends and influence people? Just had a thought, maybe Crump was relaying some of your postings to Leigh Adams last night when some of us lip read his reply.
  15. Yeah I caught that and thought exactly the same Saw that too, wasn't quite sure I'd lip read right at first. Did it start with a T, end with a T and have WA in the middle? Grim Reaper wrote: Chil out GR, everyone's entitled to their own opinion - no need to be quite so aggresive. Try giving the a rest too or people will think your not a very nice person, and won't want to be your friend anymore.
  16. If Tony has family problems then it's no ones business but Tony's! Such speculation really p****s me off. Riders have their professional life which we are more than entitled to pass comment on, but then like us all. they have a private life too, and I'm damn sure I wouldn't like speculation about my private life splashed accross the net! Think Jeffster has hit the nail on the head though. Tony has been awesome over the past few years and we've become accustomed to him wiping the floor with his opponents. He's not having a bad year, just one below his normal standards. We saw and spoke to Tony prior to the GP in Prague where he seemed relaxed, happy and healthy. Thought I'd read somewhere that Tony has a new tuner and is using new frames this season. If there is anything wrong with Tony's performances this year maybe these changes have something to do with it. Or is that far too simple and boring explanation for some?
  17. Benfield are running it in the top of the back straight grandstand. Not sure how to get tickets though! I do Found out hospitality tickets are £65 with seats and a meal. Not bad at all. Got the feeling H Man won't be dipping in his pocket for WTC tickets. Who is it sponsoring the event again???
  18. Tony Hadley was pants! Sounded like a club singer who'd normally do a turn on a Saturday night at a working mens club. Sam did ok, but like other's thought he cocked up the rider intro's a bit. Fireworks were amazing though.
  19. Euphony certainly putting their money where their mouth is! Well done Mr Faithful.
  20. 1. Tony Rickardsson 2. Mark Loram 3. Jason Grump 4. Leigh Adams
  21. We don't mind waiting a couple of years, but you should start educating him now on UK speedway and he can practice his English too. Get him to repeat over & over Reading are better than Newport.... Reading are better than Newport
  22. Darija, love your avatar. Don't suppose there's any chance of you recommending Reading to your little bro to start his UK career.
  23. Yep, well done the Brits too, but one wonders if Boxhall would have even made the final if Matej hadn't have been fenced. Still good experience & confidence boost for the boy.
  24. Thanks Tomaz, would have been such a shame if Matej had not qualified having done all the hard work in the qualifying heats.
