  1. How crap are Poole? Still, they don't hand out trophies until October do they.
  2. Well done Zengi - after all the will they/won't they drop him, he rolls out another match winning performance.
  3. So Ward finally signs for the Robins, even more reason to dislike them now then.
  4. No, they should have got rid of Batchelor instead!
  5. Boooo NKI, Booooo Too right Nicki loves the boos, the louder they boo the more he plays it, and plays it to his advantage. Nicki is old school, it's all mind games with the other riders, he's the first to admit that. Tactically aware on and off the track, shame there's not more like him. Too many throttle jockeys in the sport now who think speedway's just twist, go and turn left. Long live Nicki P I say!
  6. Oh dear, means he'll miss the big piss up in Cardiff this weekend too.
  7. Unbelievable! Why don't we get to hear about the riders views on other competitors turning up with alcohol or other substances in their system and they concerns they have about it only being a matter of time before the stupid unprofessional actions of some cause injury or worse. Your comments convince me more of your bias towards one group of riders/sponsors, which impacts on your supposedly impartial magazine too. It's obvious as Nicki is being vilified for something that was nothing more than a racing incident, there's too many riders congratulating Greg on what was actual bodily harm, from the fans I can accept it, it's banter it's panto, but from the riders - nope that's plain disgusting. The only rider from within the Monster group who has had the sense and dignity to avoid getting embroiled in this playground stuff is Tai, and full respect to him for that. I hope Nicki P gets booed, and booed loudly at Cardiff. Cos they more they boo the faster he goes.
  8. Really disappointed in Greg's statement regarding the incident last night, tainted a fantastic career imo, and not something you'd expect a professional speedway rider of his caliber to issue.
  9. The way he's hinting on social media that it was Nicki P who grassed him up in Latvia and caused his ban leads me to believe he still doesn't think he did wrong. I've not seen or read any remorse from Ward on the matter. With the Nicki/Greg scuffle hitting the headlines a week before he's due to begin racing again, you'd think he'd lay low and let the speedway world focus on something else, but no, he has to let his brain cell run away with him and get involved highlighted what a dick he is.......again!
  10. I don't think you'll find many on here who'd argue with that!
  11. I like both Greg and Nicki, they're the perfect balance in speedway, like the good and the devil resting each side. I do laugh though that people think Nicki fences people on purpose, we've all seen how bad things can go wrong in the sport and setting out to fence someone deliberately would endanger Nicki too, you may think he has no regard for his competitors (I think that' s untrue) but surely he's got regard for his own safety, especially being a family man now. He's a hard rider that will always go for a gap, sometimes that gap disappears and he rightly gets excluded for trying the move, but if he didn't go for them he wouldn't have 3 individual world titles in his cabinet. People blowing this way out of proportion because it was Greg who he riled which is completely out of character, people calling for Greg to be banned are hilarious, it was a flying tackle not a mugging in an alleyway. Looking at both riders involved it looked more like a midget scrap anyway The twitter stuff is mind games which Nicki is very good at, then you get the likes of Ward and his brain cell chipping in and it becomes the stuff Nicki thrives on. Just the motivation he needs for his title challenge this year and most are playing along with it.
  12. Personally found the Eurosport Player with no commentary, just the mics picking up the track announcer and pit discussions more enjoyable. Is it always like that, or was the lack of commentary due to it not being broadcast on TV live?
  13. Had my money on Poland, but also on Lindback to score less than 10 so nothing lost, nothing gained. Congratulations Sweden, fantastic final and a fair result.
  14. I know Iris, proper racing.... overtaking.... I bet he's as bald as Jacob by the end of the meeting
  15. Some great racing. Maybe they should flood the track & relay it every day before a big meeting there
  16. I can't be doing with foreign commentary, it's bad enough trying to decipher what tweedle dee and tweedle dummer are saying half the time. Eurosport player you get all the sound from the track and the pits and full rider interviews in english. For £6 I'm not complaining, in fact I'll still have the subscription for Cardiff and may watch the coverage on there instead of the TV if it's like this too.
  17. Me too last word. Loving the coverage, no smashy & shouty bleating on, all the noise from the track & pits and clear rider interviews. Top notch!!
  18. Shock horror!! I have the full Sky Sports package and have just turned on and switched over to BT Sport to watch the MotoGP from Catalunya. Disgusted to find out this isn't included in my Sky Sports package. I'm going to write to my MP, BSI and the BSPA about this.
  19. Do we have Poland's version of Starman on here?
  20. Always think the racing is better at Vojens when the tracks had some natural watering. Generally means they have to re-prepare it and if Olsen was involve in the original preparation of the track that's no bad thing!
  21. Oh please! You make it sound like they held a gun to his head! Ward wasn't at Poole in any official capacity on Wednesday he was under no obligation. No, not really. So he's spent a couple of months getting fit and tuning his engines. Most dedicated, professional riders spend a lot longer preparing over the winter months than that. I may have missed it, but I've still not seen an apology anywhere from Ward to his fans or clubs who he's let down, or for bringing the sport into disrepute again following his most recent misdemeanor.
