I still remember the grand final last year. The Sheffield track was shocking during the pre match interviews & Tatums track walk it was said time & time again that gate 3 would be a grave yard in the early heats & what did King do after winning the coin toss took gates 1 & 3. We can’t over look Kings contribution during his time at Ipswich however it’s been clear that for the past 2 or 3 years he has been on a downward spiral & more interested in Danny King than being a team player. It’s time for him to move on during the winter & leave Ipswich with his legacy still more or less intact. Another season like the last couple would tarnish his Ipswich career. we need to retain Doyle,Rew,Thompson & if possible Emil next year. Ellis & Jenkins have not really done anything wrong but it’s a numbers game.

It’s either that or incompetence…..as clearly they don’t know the rule book that they helped to write -

He isn’t now due to an ‘oversight’ by Sheffield or more likely they got caught tying to pull a fast one! -

The issue is that this is clear rule breaking by the governing body for the second time in 24 hours, the other one being Harris riding on Monday. I -

Couldn’t make it up. But let’s not forget the real reason speedway is knacked in this country is the fault of the Grand Prix & Poland…….maybe instead of blaming the poles & gp we need to look closer to home. -
2025 Team Predictions

If there is no Emil next year then Musielak would be a good signing, although I’d have Emil if possible -
It’s not since losing Emil that King has become a scapegoat, a lot of supporters have been frustrated/ fed up with him for the last 3 or 4 years. For a guy who has spent the bulk of his career at Ipswich he is beaten by riders around Ipswich who he should be comfortably getting the better of. He gets passed far to easily & does seem to ride the lines that don’t work. As the skipper he can’t team ride to save his life either blocks his teammates lines or just clears off out front sometimes even passing he own partner. when the chips are down be that a single heat or meetings like the ones against Sheffield, or both meetings against Birmingham this week he just goes missing. I think he has genuinely gone stale at Ipswich & needs a move to revitalise his career as much as Ipswich needs the change too. We need someone with some more improvement in them next year. His demeanour on the TV against Sheffield wasn’t skipper material he looked beaten & downtrodden. We need our own Sam Morsy to skipper the Witches & that man in Doyle.

I don’t know about Bewley, but that is classic Danny King & it’s why the fans give him such a hard time coupled with his inability to team ride. -

That was a great effort from all the boys on Thursday, if Rew hadn’t crashed out we’d have won that…Can’t blame the boy he was riding his socks off he looks much more confident this season. Hopefully he isn’t to badly injured & will be fit for next week. Jenkins was good value again those last 3 rides were superb! I disagree that Thompson has gone backwards yes he isn’t scoring as freely but the experience he is gaining in the top 5 will make him a better rider. Nicholls just continues to be superb around Foxhall could really do with a squad system next year to allow him to ride when possible. King scored well & turned up unlike on Monday. Cook was a little disappointing but did look better in his last ride. Some entertaining racing & a decent mini come back from the Witches. I know Scott ran Jenkins a little wide on the second turn but after that some great team riding from him playing guard dog. I’m at a loss as to why the skipper can team ride like that instead of passing Jenkins & leaving him to it.
