  1. Leicester missing their number 8 who was the star of the semi final for them.
  2. One big league worked in the 90s but it wouldn’t work now. There aren’t enough riders to staff all the teams & even if they could somehow find it the strength would be lower than the current championship & the standard of racing would be awful because of the gulf in rider standard. All that while trying to charge the same if not more than current championship admission at least. I can’t see the premiership clubs lowering the cost of admission enough to reflect the lower standard. it would lead to decreasing attendances all over & a race to the bottom to see which club is the last standing.
  3. Is Jenkins a rising star? He wasn’t in 2024 having moved out of the scheme. or am I missing something? This discount was applied for Tom Brennan (Belle Vue) this year and will apply to Jordan Jenkins (Ipswich) and Drew Kemp (Leicester) in 2024, both of whom have moved out of the Rising Star
  4. Hopefully it is a 40 point limit if not we’ll have to look elsewhere for a king replacement
  5. That’s far too weak at the bottom end. Far better of with Ellis & Rew in the middle order.
  6. Totally disagree Danny to be fair scores the points that you would expect. However it’s not all about that is it? The biggest issue is when the chips are down he either goes missing or makes a novice error with riding lines. The semi final at Leicester being a prime example, on a comfortable 5-1 & then falls. Also can’t team ride to save his life I’ve seen more team riding from Nicholls & Brennan in their witches appearances this season than King has managed in the last 5 years.
  7. I can’t see what difference that would make the likes of Bewley, Kurtz, Doyle, Emil & the Holder brothers aren’t going to be realised by their clubs for a point.
  8. King would look good in a Stars race suit next season. If we have any ambition to finally win the league we need to move him on. If Brennan replaces king which I think we all hope & we can hold on to Rew those two guys have massive potential to improve next year.
  9. I’m guessing the other offer Rew has is from Belle Vue. Personally I can’t see how that would benefit him already rides big fast tracks in Poland, staying put at Ipswich can only help his progress.
  10. If it is 39 then unfortunately it would have to be Ellis that makes way, too much improvement in Rew & Brennan. If it says at 40 then one change Brennan for King & everyone is happy.
  11. Congratulations to Belle Vue on making the final the best team won overall. Sheffield have had a good season making the semi finals & winning the cup against an injury ravaged Ipswich side. After all the crap that they have thrown around about the state of the Foxhall track it was great to see passing galore last night & not bore fest gate & go racing! Also the second horrific accident in 5 meetings on one of the best race tracks in the country. Any how congratulations on a super season & hopefully we’ll have some more rivalry in 2025 winter well!!
  12. They could still move the dirt away from the fence & back on to the track as that is an issue
  13. The Sheffield dirt line causes its second serious injury in 6 weeks, clearly dangerous. I wonder who Jack Holder is 🤫 tonight. He certainly turned up.
  14. When Jason arrived at Ipswich in 2022 it got me & a few others who had become once or twice visitors to going to around half that seasons home fixtures. The last two seasons with Jason & Emil we have been pretty much ever presents accept missing meetings due to holidays. Those two have had a massive impact on Ipswich speedway & brought the feel good factor back.
  15. Because if Hawkins is here then it makes it almost a dead cert King will be back & in the interest of both parties King needs to be elsewhere next year.
  16. First job for Ipswich is to retain Guy Nicholls after that I’d retain Jason, Emil , Rew Thompson & possibly Ellis depending on numbers. Replace King & Hawkins
  17. It appears that the Doyle deal is done. I’m not convinced Emil will be back appears to be a choice between the UK & Sweden. I think that will come down to what works best for him & his family. The only thought I have is will he decide that there is unfinished business & commit to a 3rd season as a Witch. I really hope that we see the third instalment of the Jason & Emil show. I’d certainly have Rew & Thompson back & if the points allow also Ellis. Jenkins was also showing some good form before his injury so I guess he is a possibility . The rider that they need to nail down early is Brennan massive improvement to come next year & a real racer.
  18. At the moment it would appear it’s a choice between England & Sweden for Emil next year. Hopefully he decides to come back to England we all know if he does it’s 100% Ipswich. Part of me thinks that he’ll decide on Sweden however I also get the feeling he knows that there is unfinished business with Ipswich. If he does return then I think next year will be he last.
