There might only be one league match to ride & the pairs however having Riss back is massive. I think everyone is in agreement that the side needs to be built around Doyle & Riss next term -

One thing they have to sort out is that all fixtures are completed before the play offs commence. This season the play offs were a farce, the grand final of the league program taking place with league fixtures outstanding. One of the fixtures could have lead to a different semi final match up. -

The rather ironic thing is if Ipswich win at Sheffield then we finish top of the league so would then have faced wolves in the semi final. I would say it would then have been an Ipswich v Belle Vue grand final with Belle Vue still coming out as champions. -

Great business by the poles Thursday,Fridays & Sundays all protected for their 8 team league. Goes to show how strong they are & how weak the UK is. -

Why are people putting Batch's name & worse still Andersen's name in the frame for next year. Doyle,Riss & Hume plus some eager youngsters who can improve. Basso is definitely in that mold & I hate to say it but a young pole. The most annoying thing is we have had a couple of young riders who should be in the mix for next year Rowe & Kemp but either of them seems to be a massive gamble. -

The transfer window should be easy to police. A window opens on November 1st & ,closes no January 1st to allow clubs to sign riders for the up coming season. A second window then opens from July 1st to August 1st to allow for team changes. Unless some form of squad system comes in then injuries are covered as below Injuries are covered with rider replacement or use of you number 8 if under 28 days. If an injury is going to keep a rider out for more than 28 days a long term injury replacement can be signed but has to be on a minimum 2 month contract. -

Well at least one promotor can see the wood from the trees. "My winter wish list would be seven strong teams. Don't mess with the rules, a simple clean fixture list that everyone can actually complete & more amiable bikes that can be raced with confidence & give us fans maximum entertainment. Not too much to ask is it?" From Chris Louis' program notes on Thursday. -

Looking at this year's side the Batch gamble didn't pay off & to be honest I think that's down to the way king has gone backwards this year. Batch has upped his average & in all honesty performed to the level expected. No idea what was up with Rowe this year but last night he looked more like the rider he is If Rowe's troubles are behind him I go along the lines of 1 Doyle 2 Basso 3 4 Riss 5 6 Hume 7 Rowe/AN other Although you would need a solid 2nd heat leader -

With the news coming out of Swindon I can see Doyle staying put next year. The rest is up in the air, although I have a hunch Basso could be here next year. If Doyle is here could he be the guy to get Kemp firing? Local lad bags of talent but so far a huge disappointment. -

Spot on. If the sport had a bigger fan base & a higher profile then some of these tracks wouldn't have closed & there would have been more of a fight to keeps the ones that have opened or relocated elsewhere. When you're a developer who wants to build on a site used by a few hundred people for half a year that are involved in an event that has no profile it's very easy to get what you want. -
