Ipswich v Belle Vue 13th April
cowboy cookie returns? replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Given that we were missing Riss & Rew is still finding his feet I'm not to concerned as the early weeks were always going to be tricky. Even more so with tonight with no Riss & a below par Danny King. We possibly do need another number 7 though? -

Witches v Lions 6th April
cowboy cookie returns? replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So first time since 2007 & I made opening night. I think with this team it has the feel of 98 & I’ll be back for more than my one of two visits a season. as for the team the top two speak for themselves. Emil’s style reminds me of Rickardsson. Rew will need a few meetings but looked more at home as the night went on. Hume will get Better. Not sure on Thompson as yet. my main concern is Riss and only because on the tight track he doesn’t seem fit. all in all I enjoyed my trip & I’m feeling confident -

I’d agree with that….and there is a far chance a large number of those will return. Looking forward to May Day v Lynn -

At one point Bassoracingfan was convinced that Emil was going to Peterborough, then it was Laguna -

Interesting how the BBC & Anglia covered it, Anglia focused on Emil & the BBC focused more on the sport in East Anglia & not a mention of Emil, both great pieces & provided great publicity. -

If the socials are anything to go by Emil will certainly generate interest over 8000 views of that clip on Facebook compared to 1100 for the play off final clip -

It does seem strange why Kemp wasn't brought in, an Ipswich asset who made his club debut at 16 and was seen as the next big thing. Seemed to have been highly regarded by Louis but something has changed. Maybe it's an attitude thing, maybe Kemp doesn't want to be at Ipswich at this stage or maybe Poland is the place he wants to concentrate on, who knows. Is it practice day today? -

When is press and practice day? -
Bassoracingfan seems to think it's Freddie but he has also said it Emil & Artum. I wouldn't take much notice of him.

Hats of to Louis for making the Emil deal happen, certainly no lack of ambition from Ipswich this year. In Emil & Rew probably the two standout signs of the winter. -

Tomorrows announcement bound to be the other rider & not the 2nd heat leader. I have thought the major signing will be held over to next week & if it's Emil they wouldn't announce a Russian on the anniversary or the Russian invasion surely? -

If it falls though them they could go for his relation Kristopher Holfutdinov -
Is it still possible to hold speedway at this famous venue?

This is the frustrating thing with Ipswich, they have for years had the best crowds but the Louis' always play safe & won't do anything that could destabilise the club financially, working well within their means. I remember figures of 6500-7000 being quoted for good Friday afternoon meetings in the early mid 90s. Currently Ipswich also show what can be done a very professional out look with a good handle on social media with a sponsor who is passionate, shame some of that can't run of on UK speedway in general. -

Imagine if we could get Chris Holder on a British licence with a reduction due to the number of seasons he has been out & a further reduction for being British, that would make Basso Racing Fans day -

Poor old Bassoracingfan hears all sorts of voices in his head, if you look at the Peterborough page, Lindgren, Andersen & Cook are coming to fill 2 spaces -
