  1. You wouldn’t believe it a bolt of lightning has just hit the pit gate and damaged the catch! still as we’re a professional club we have a spare.
  2. I understand that, however this was the same kind of provision that Reading,Swindon & possibly Cradley had. Without the venue built it’s one hell of a gamble for a would be owner to take. I’d love to see Peterborough survive but history shows that councils aren’t that good a holding developers to account. it’s happen with developments in Ipswich where community projects were promised as part of a planning application but never materialised. once the housing is built the developers know that they can walk away without keeping to all the planning constraints. No council are going to make them pull down brand new housing. If the showground developers had to build & get into operation the replacement venue before any housing is built then that would be a totally different situation.
  3. Just checked the Poole v Swindon updates looks like Rew had a good night two wins. hopefully Doyle might have had a word with Anders could do with some points from the rs position. That’s not a dig at Thompson but he looks out of his depth currently. Should defo keep him on as the number 8 to give the lad some experience
  4. Kind of agree, however as owner you have the right to stay or sell up. Normally in order for the owner to sell someone has to make an offer that the owner is willing to accept. The big issue for Peterborough speedway is currently as things stand come October the club is worthless as they have no home. Who in their right mind is going to buy out chapman? as crap as it is just enjoy the time you have
  5. Something has gone very wrong with the Kemp Ipswich relationship……he was the bright homegrown hope & now nowhere to be seen.
  6. After the pair’s announcement & the shambles that is Kings Lynn is hard to see a future at the moment. Which is a real shame as the buzz around it’s & the professional nature they go about their business shows what can be done
  7. One of these days you have got to get something right….so far you have predicted Emil,Artem,Lindgren all signing on as your number one keep up the good work
  8. What a difference 70 miles makes, Ipswich the most professional club in the country & Lynn the shambles!
  9. It’s not that long ago Guy was your sponsor too
  10. Interesting meeting today. For us Rew looks to be getting better & it was good to see him trying different lines. it was great to see Hume getting stuck in a gritty display. Emil & Doyle just superb king was King looked outstanding early on & then got passed far to easily later on not sure what his beef is & missing from the victory parade is poor. Thompson while not knocking the lad I’m not sure he is ready for this level yet but he is a tryer. As for Lynn clearly then has issues but KK is a disgrace. I’ve never see so much throttling off unbelievable…..that kind of behaviour must effect his team mates
  11. Kasprzak shut off when under pressure from Rew, I think he has lost his bottle
  12. King seemed to have a bee in his bonnet after heat 15, don’t think he was happy Emil went for the win without looking for him. if that’s the case a little rich given King’s record of team riding!
  13. So thoughts on this one? It will be so good to have bank holiday speedway back……weather permitting
  14. We count our lucky stars that Buster didn’t take over at Ipswich in the end
  15. I don’t get all the hate for Tomlin on here. the guy is a businessman if he could see a long term future for the club he would have brought it doing the winter. it looks like issues came up during the winter around a new site. That could be the cost, planning permission or a combination of both. Tomlin was never going to buy a club that had no future beyond October that isn’t good business sense. Admittedly he could have kept the fans updated & come clean on the issues around his purchase falling though. if I were a Peterborough fan I’d enjoy this season & the speedway while you can. I generally wish all of you that are fighting to keep to club going all the best.
  16. The Witches did win at wolves twice last year. My thoughts this time around are how will Emil & young Rew take to monmore green along with Thompson. Wolves also seem to have side better suited to monmore this year. all in all I’m very impressed with the witches so far
  17. A great performance last night. Good to see Hume & Rew continuing to improve. I agree with Riss in the side most of our home meetings should be won by 8-10 points. The flip side is I can see us keeping it close away from home too with the possible exception of Wolves. The boys have already shown a liking for Peterborough & Leicester. Sheffield,Lynn & Belle Vue should all be to the liking of Emil & Rew. We already know that Danny,Eric & Jason love those places.
  18. The killer tonight was Danny having a poor night at the same time Riss was missing. Thompson is a huge concern to be honest Kemp would be a better bet
  19. I’d have him in the team over a journeyman like cook any day of the week
  20. Not really, Rew will be fine. It’s only his 3rd uk meeting. The rising star berth is a concern
