  1. Well they are my team, lose, lose or draw I'll be there to support them as long as they are around. I have my season ticket and have already booked accommodation for Poole x 2 trips, Eastbourne x 1 trip (having done the 1 already) and Lakeside x 1. I do see a long season ahead though!
  2. So glad I decided not to bother going to get my free programme after last years debacle - disgusted with that paltry offer after watching a reduced heats meeting of riders not trying due to track conditions.
  3. I may be wrong - reading the Birmingham Mail article it looks like I am!
  4. Nothing is changing at Buxton - Jack is continuing there according to the report I've read.
  5. The only meetings not included in the season ticket costs are BSPA events and any play off meetings (the same as last year - although there was a 'change of heart' on the play offs)
  6. What a pity the pic accompanying the groupon offer is MX(?) and not speedway!
  7. Does anyone else think the Press n Practise timings are a little 'odd' - only open to the public from 3.45pm? Normally opens sometime between 12-1pm.
  8. It might be a simple question - but it is a very good one! :\
  9. Sorry Steve0 - hard to believe or not - it happens to be true.
  10. Smoli wasn't unemployable this season - he's had team place offers - he has just decided to give the UK a miss this year to concentrate on his Grand Prix debut season. (OGT - I know it wasn't you who made that claim - I just couldn't be bothered to edit the longer post!)
  11. The team we had built for us last season was by no means an expensive side but the success of point scoring is always going to cost - so it's a catch 22 surely? How small a payment per point do you think riders will accept when they have a living to make as well as certain riding expenses to cover?
  12. You told us he would - doubting/questioning yourself now? Whatever team we end up with - I'll be there to support them!
  13. I think you will find Jason made the decision that he wont be back with Brum next season.
  14. I really think you would have been hard pressed to find anyone who 'disliked' Birmingham for winning (apart from some fans of the opposing finalists) - but it just wasn't meant to be.
  15. Don't know which part of the Midlands you're at - but just down the road from Perry Barr Stadium it's still grey & raining!
  16. But who did you ask? There is little or no point in asking the question here. The clubs are in the best position to provide the answer you sought.
  17. A serious answer to your serious question - I would guess Wednesday (but it is purely a guess as it depends on what SKY want doesn't it?)
  18. It's way too late for the earrings to be removed - he'll just be left with gaping holes which look much worse (in my opinion anyway). I'm not overly keen on the masses of inking - but then I don't have to be........ Good on Tai for being the confident, totally rounded pleasant young man he's turned into - hopefully it'll rub off on 'others'.
  19. Those are the sort of "fans" a team don't need! I was at Wimborne Road on Monday and will be at Perry Barr next Monday - whatever the overall result, they're my team, they got to the final and I'm immensely proud of them
  20. Didn't mean to infer it was you that claimed it was the German Open
  21. Hate to be 'picky' but it wasn't the German Open - it was an individual meeting called the "Golden Ribbon" which did indeed have other nationals partaking as below: Results Speedway Olching 1 Martin Smolinski (D) 14 points, 2 Michael Hartel (D) 12 +3, 3 Piotr Pawlicki (PL) 12 +2, 4 Piotr Swist (PL) 11, 5 Patrick Hougaard (DK) 10, 6 Tobias Kroner (D) 10, 7 Marcel helper (D) 10, 8 Przemyslaw Pawlicki (PL) 10, 9 Zdenek Simota (CZ) 8, 10 Mark crack (D) 5 11Fritzenwallner (A) 5, 12 Erik crack (D) 5 13 Robert Lambert (GB) 4, 14Erik Poodle (E) 3, 15 René Deddens (D) 1, 16 Valentine Grobauer (D) 0
  22. But a darned sight better than the picture/sound sync at Monmore....................
