To be fair I'm relieved I'm not making the journey for this - can only see a heavy defeat! -

Steady on people - bordering on the happy/positive side - a dark room beckons! A good and deserved win - keep it going lads...................... -

Along with you I hope JD is not too badly injured - he was a revelation for us (Brummies) last season. -

You obviously didn't read your programme then Nigel - it said he was on DK machinery - doesn't excuse the steel shoe not being worn properly though! -

Couldn't have put it better myself Nigel! -
What if Birmingham Speedway folds? Is there a refund clause? And if Philips packs in? What then? Will a new promoter be obliged to honour the terms and conditions? With respect, surely there is no point in asking that sort of question on a forum where no-one has the answer. The only ones who can answer are the people making the appeal - have you tried that avenue? It's quite obviously caused a stir, but like the idea or not, at least they are TRYING to do something about the lack of finances. I'm not a huge AP fan but I applaud the efforts being made. It's so very easy to criticize without offering an alternative solution.

Swindon - Birmingham 5.5.14
kitten2502 replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We saw BB on the way out - he's fine. A bit naughty that the 50-50 draw wasn't done before the meeting was called. Kalle was way out of his depth unfortunately. Cracking 6 point ride from EK! -
If Nico is re-joining us he will almost certainly be based here - as he was last year.

I hope we're not in for another wasted trip -
Would be very unfair on Nermark if he is shifted out - he has done his job so far (and more)!
-
Not sure if you are referring to the riders or the handful of tortured souls who travelled? I was one of the known of 7 who made the trip - and we certainly didn't 'outwardly celebrate' nor did I notice any 'joyous' team celebrations, but we made a pretty swift exit amid the "ref must be from Birmingham" comments!

Seems like you've already been getting too much sun Peter! See you there nevertheless

Chris Bomber Harris Performances
kitten2502 replied to ghostie's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
From what I've read he was advised to disable/remove it in NZ which he did - to avoid any complaints/protests. His performances have NOT surprised me in the slightest (although I wasn't expecting the final win in NZ). -
Birmingham V Poole Ela 23/4/14
kitten2502 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As far as I'm aware it is the referees decision after consultation with the teams involved! So not sure why Birmingham is being blamed. I accept that watering the track wasn't the most sensible idea though............ -
Thanks SCB - I'd heard that all bags were searched - if that's not the case then all's good. I will make sure any I take are non-flammable (although I do possess the other sort too).

Genuine question. Are supporters allowed to take air horns into the Millenium Stadium or are they to be purchased inside? If they can be taken in, what spec do they need to be to avoid confiscation?
-
I think you'll find it's all three not just Tom, Dick OR Harry!

It would have been impossible to justify some of those performances Trees.

The new library is fantastic - enjoy, whatever you end up doing!

Well said "H" - I always take people as I find them and I've never had a problem with either Graham or Denise. Neither suffer fools gladly, but why should they? GD has vast experience which will be sorely missed - as the saying goes "be careful what you wish for" - we are now left floundering but some folks are rejoicing. I would like to go on record to thank Graham & Denise for their services to Birmingham Speedway - I truly believe that they've always done what they felt was best for the club and we've been blessed with some terrific riders thanks to GD.
