  1. Errrrrrrrrrr don't tar us all with the same brush. I'm happy with the outcome as I was dreading some of the names being banded about............
  2. As the article on the official site says, injury &/or illness.
  3. Have to admit I've got one foot firmly planted in this camp at the moment................
  4. I personally support my team - win, lose or draw. I would have thought a visit to the National Speedway Stadium was incentive enough. Don't get me wrong, there will be people travelling, but a minibus would facilitate those unable to make their own way - sadly this includes me
  5. I was looking forward to this one too - however, as we can't even muster enough supporters to travel on a mini bus I won't now be attending. Very disappointing................
  6. That is incorrect - season ticket holders did not have to pay to get in last night.
  7. R/R for Darryl Ritchings now as aggravated leg injury on Wednesday - going to make it tough.
  8. Is an apology due - to both the promotion & rider???
  9. Is there any particular reason why SCBNL news is frequently pushed behind International speedway and Grass Track news? I would have expected it to follow SCB Championship bearing I'm mind the Speedway Star is a BRITISH Speedway publication, isn't it?
  10. Tesco came to the rescue. There would be no point in ordering for delivery as I cannot bear crumpled/damaged/bent magazines - one reason why I refuse to buy pre-read (or 2nd hand ) shelf copies. Wish the magazine was poly wrapped to stop shop flickers - you either want to buy or you don't.
  11. I haven't managed to get a copy of the season preview yet - not even from my local Asda which usually has loads of copies - my last resort is Perry Barr track shop on Wednesday.
  12. And not in my area of Birmingham 😠. Seems you're going to be sorted then 👍
  13. I have had that conversation with BT and my broadband speed is not sufficient to get BT sport directly - I'll just have to put up with the very frustrating buffering version using my sisters login on my laptop hdmi'd to my TV. Hopefully Shads you'll have a decent enough standard broadband speed to enable you to get BT Sports - fingers crossed.
  14. The only way I can get BT Sport is via Sky TV (which I don't currently have but could get for about £9.00 a month extra) as BT Infinity broadband is not in my area - I'm not exactly in some back water location - for the pleasure it will cost an additional £27.99 a month which is more than my Sky broadband/telephone package. If I switch from SKY to BT broadband to enable me to get BT Sport for £7.50 a month it'll probably cost me £22.00 or more for just getting TV via SKY, on top of the BT broadband costs - it's a lose/ lose situation from what I can see :'(
  15. I have to say how touching the Ricky Ashworth article is in this weeks SS - that young man's attitude and also that of his Dad should be an inspiration to us all. I'm glad to have, in some small way contributed to the new "family friendly" home. Keep up with the recovery Ricky.................
  16. Most of your questions can be answered on the Brummies Fans Forum - under Supporters Club or Fighting Fund pages, The question above could be answered by the BSSC treasurer if you care to ask her, And for the record I am not a committee member nor a club member.
  17. Yes - the club had restarted, but I believe that the money was pledged to Tony Mole at the beginning of the year and couldn't be presented earlier for logistical reasons. Once money is promised you surely cannot expect it to be reneged upon can you?
  18. 1) Why should the fighting fund have been held in an account & added to - and added to by whom? For what purpose? Why was giving the 10k to Tony Mole a joke? It was intended to assist the restart of our club and that's exactly what it did. 2) Are you saying the supporters club has made a "decent profit"? If so, your point is what? The supporters club certainly don't have a decent membership and any money made during the year funds the end of season awards night............as there is little or no interest in away travel transport anymore.
  19. Please don't build us up to be shot down - no team has the devine right .............
  20. It mystifies me why people think we have any more financial clout than the next team - we do have Tony Mole as our owner, who is renowned for being shall we say - frugal (at best)!
  21. Indeed he does ............ can you ask him to slow down bit this week please?
