You won't have Craig Cook either as Workington are riding that night. -
I've just got mine online. It's a printed off voucher that you present at the meeting, so I doubt there's a cut off as no post involved.

Davey Watt Retires
Pirate Nick replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If you prefer not to put it on here then it would have probably been better for you not to bring it up at all (whatever it was). Davy was a good servant to British speedway in general and I will always appreciate the effort he put in for Poole -
Somerset Rebels Vs Kings Lynn Stars : 28th April.
Pirate Nick replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good meeting, not as good as Swindon but then you'd have to go some to beat the Josh v Doyle heats. Crowd a bit down but not surprising given Kings Lynn is a fair old hike. -

Sad news RIP Alan -
It was a couple of years ago. Somerset booked a guest for Morris at Redcar. Swindon was called off and Morris contacted the promotion to say he could ride. Promotion contacted BSPA and were told no as a guest had been booked. I don't know if that's a rule or was just a whim on the night by whoever was on the other end of the phone, but it definitely happened.

Adam appeared to have bike problems at the start of the meeting.

The relevance is with the name Rebels not the flag. Much of the Monmouth rebellion took place in Somerset, the Duke of Monmouth finally being defeated at the battle of Sedgemoor. The flag in question is not the flag of the confederate states it is the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. It was created by their commander to avoid confusion on the battlefield as the flags of the Northern and Southern states were very similar. Here Endeth today's history lesson. There will be a test next Friday 😉

Yes I did Not just the technical side, they are talking about a more even distribution of funds between the teams, which I think is just as important. More social media interaction to try and attract more fans and make them feel involved with the sport is also being discussed.

While Bernie was in charge yes. Brawn comes from the other side of the fence and has more of a team prospective and I have to say I agree with him.
-
Taken from an interview with Ross Brawn on changes to F1. I'm inclined to think the same applies to speedway. "That is something we need to discuss with the teams," Brawn said. "They have made a huge investment in these engines so you can't just discard them and say: 'We are going to change the engines.'
