Good meeting, not as good as Swindon but then you'd have to go some to beat the Josh v Doyle heats. Crowd a bit down but not surprising given Kings Lynn is a fair old hike.

It looked to me that there was as many there last night as attended the pairs meeting earlier in the season. Just reward , I think, for the tremendous effort that the promotion put into to the club, improvements to the infrastructure every year and always have time for the fans.

It was a couple of years ago. Somerset booked a guest for Morris at Redcar. Swindon was called off and Morris contacted the promotion to say he could ride. Promotion contacted BSPA and were told no as a guest had been booked. I don't know if that's a rule or was just a whim on the night by whoever was on the other end of the phone, but it definitely happened.

The relevance is with the name Rebels not the flag. Much of the Monmouth rebellion took place in Somerset, the Duke of Monmouth finally being defeated at the battle of Sedgemoor. Very disappointed with the promotion last night. No trophys, no fixzy stuff for the guys on the podium, no fireworks and none of the promotion could be bothered to come out and thank the fans for their support over the season. Pretty poor show IMO.
