Well the highs of the season is obviously Tai Woffinden and hopefully Poole winning the league. and more highs Poole speedway management and promotion Team GB - with the plucky Brits and their manager giving their best! Poole being allowed to call off a meeting when it suits. Poole allowing riders to ride Sunday and Tuesday but apparantly 'injured' when it came to the Monday Poole speedway getting 4pts at belle Vue before common sense prevailed and the meeting called off. The world being officilly blue and white, therby negating the need for tinted glasses I would love Poole to win it so we can all have a good giggle at Gavan having a hissy fit. Last thing and lets see if I can explain how it works to Gavan. WHEN WARD LAYS ON THE TRACK AND GETS A HEAT STOPPED TO GAIN AN ADVANTAGE (and basically get us a point to help us into the play offs!) ITS AN INSPIRED PIECE OF GAMESMANSHIP TO BE APPLAUDED BY THE WORLD IN GENERAL. WHEN KILDEMAND DOES EXACTLY THE SAME THING ITS CHEATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somerset V Rye House Ko Cup Final 27/9
Pirate Nick replied to coomie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Probably. Nice and warm in the bar though 🍻 -
The £55 per point was voted in at the AGM, my point is that probably no one is sticking to it, "sponsors" are making up the difference. If anyone can point to a prem no1 who is riding for a genuine £55 I will be very surprised.

Sounds like a plan, best get an extension on the trophy cabinet Seriously though they've capped the pay in the premier league this season, but I bet there's a fair few riding for more than the £55 cap. It doesn't work.

Poole V Swindon 30 September 2013 Second Leg

You mean the well run club that pays all it's riders? -
Yep 😉

I don't know why the promoters are bothered with the points limit. Why don't they just say it as it is and vote the " you can't have Holder and Ward in the same team coz it's not fair and we want to loan one of them and not pay the loan fee" rule in.

Well Middlos tactical ineptitude has taken us to the playoffs, remind me how your season is going? Oh yes, it's finished😉 -
I think we have 3 x 0.4 re assessed riders who have been out of the league for a while. Keep it under your hat but it's looking like Lindback, Crump, AJ and Gollob. All in the best interest etc etc

Thats not cheating its called tactical awareness -
According to the last set of averages Ward, Holder and THJ comes to 23.72 so thats fine. Interestingly, if your post is accurate, the only team whos current top 3 are over 25 is Poole (if you substitute Holder for Hancock).

Winners I expect. Who will be in your discount budget squad next year

Looking forward to this one and the return on Friday. Should be 2 cracking meetings and very close run I think. Either way may the best team win (should have been the final IMO, but that's the draw). I sure the Rebels will do their best to put a smile on your face Paulco, are you going to the Edinburgh leg?
