  1. Tbf I don't think Somerset were prepared to go into the 2014 with a number one who is clearly showing confidence problems. One of the Wolves fans posted in the Wolves thread that it was a blow to Wolves that he had been dropped because he needed the Prem to regain his confidence. Well that's all well and good but you can't expect a Prem team to go with a no1 who is in need of confidence boosting (and given his scores so far he is clearly not the Ty Proctor of last year at the moment). I hope Ty regains his form and goes on to be a cracking rider for Wolves this year, but I think as it stands at the moment Somerset have made the right decision.
  2. Now I don't know who it was because I don't follow a programme. The guy I was most impressed with tonight was one of Neil Vatchers youngsters. One of them fell just after entering the 1st bend. It was a oh $hit moment as it was nailed on that the lad behind him was going to hit him big time. The lad behind had other ideas though and laid his bike down in lightning quick time, much respect for someone so young.
  3. My mum loves me, but then she's from Poole as well 😀
  4. Who rattled your cage 😉 just following the BSF tradition of going completely off topic for at least 5 pages of any given thread 😃
  5. I would say that man for man (yes I know teams are made up with Prem riders as well) an EL team would beat a PL team 9 times out of 10. However, as you know, I wear 2 coats and would say that, Darcy Ward aside I enjoyed the racing in the PL more last season. The EL is a higher standard than the PL but that does not necessarily equate to better racing.
  6. Craig Cook? Jason Doyle is the sort of rider the premier should welcome. Excellent to watch on the track, always gives 100% and a genuine draw crowd wise. Having seen him in action in the pits before and during meetings he's an excellent captain. Always willing to help out the youngsters ( provided they're willing to listen), geeing up the team and a good laugh to boot. Keeps the team on their toes. In short I'd have him lead my team any day of the week.
  7. I would think that the reserves have been given targets. I would think that the top reserve would be looking for 8 at home and 6 away. As far as Smart goes, i'd be looking for 3 at home and anything away would be a bonus. The whole team has probably been told whats expected of them and any of the riders will probably be replaced if they don't come up to scratch. Of course all this depends on what replacements are available. On paper I would agree with you that Smart looks the most vulnerable but lets give the lad a chance.
  8. As far as I am aware travelling does not count.
  9. Don't think the BSPA are being quite straight on that one. I believe the tier 5 allows 20 hrs a week with a secondary employer.
  10. If he's riding on a Russian licence. What if he rides on a Polish licence?
  11. Jesus, they half the price if you buy in advance and people still whine about it!!!!
  12. Great offer from Sky. http://tickets.sky.com/seats/a08b000000TLQOCAA5?DCMP=okc-SS_editorial_SpeedwayERC-na-00033-na
  13. Newcastle set the precedent last year with Tully.
  14. Oh and you were doing so well there for a minute
  15. Surely that would depend on wether he's signed a contract and if he has wether or not the FIM thinks it will stand up in court?
  16. He might well be in the GPs if Sayfutdinov pulls out 😂
  17. No, but we lost some beach huts the carnage was awful, I still have nightmares about it.
