Simmo and A N Other, could ride inside or outside and is still, I believe, the only rider to win the World Pairs 3 yrs on the trot with 3 different partners.

Bit of a concern but I'll bet our promotion won't be threatening them in the local rag tomorrow!

Quite agree but don't hold your breath.

75-0 if they turn up tonight!

Is there a riot going on up there? Been passed by 10 + police vans and cars about 9 miles from Berwick and another 6 have just passed as I'm writing this including dog units. -

Just looked at the rain radar. Give it 15 mins to half an hr and let us know then. -
For those of you that use The George pub before Poole meetings be advised that they are now charging for parking. There are 2 cameras, one on entry and one on exit recording number plates and time spent in the car park. If you don't buy a ticket and register it inside the pub they will automatically send out a penalty letter. Please don't give Steve (landlord) any stick as he's as peed off as the customer. This is a private parking company that has done a deal with Marstons Brewery.

Most injuries yes, but this is, I believe, his cruciate ligament and he's risking permenant damage every time he rides and that damage could be career ending. -

I have to disagree with that. One big off and he's potentially lost a very promising career. I'd rather not win the league than see that happen. -
And that's the sort of attitude that will keep Gb speedway where it is today, at the bottom of the ladder. At least the lad is showing some ambition, whether he makes international standard or not is neither here nor there at least he's giving it a go. Forum members continually complain about the lack of opportunities for our youngsters to gain experience yet here you are criticising a rider for taking the opportunity to learn.

Plymouth V Somerset Saturday 21st June
Pirate Nick replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I watched his scores in the meetings he rode before the Premier League kicked off and wasn't at all surprised that he was replaced with Nick Morris. Nick cut down on his U21 meetings and Ty wasn't and still isn't scoring as you would expect a No 1 to score. It was, as has been said, a no brainer. I also think it's not the Premier Leagues job to give rides to an Elite League rider so as he can get his confidence back. -

Something Got To Change (sheffield)
Pirate Nick replied to OILYRAG's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If it's allowed that average converts to 9.26 I think. That's a big risk for a premier league to take at this stage of his career as he would be straight in at No 1. -

What's wrong with that? There will always be richer and poorer teams in any sport, look at the football Premier League and ask yourself how many of those teams have a realistic chance of winning the league. As for home advantage, I'd say its one of the fairest tracks in the league. Any rider should be able to ride it, just depends how big your ball$ are if you have to grab the big handful round the outside -

I don't think they do pay the most in the league. I think they operate within a sensible budget and riders like the track and set up.
