Tbf I don't think Somerset were prepared to go into the 2014 with a number one who is clearly showing confidence problems. One of the Wolves fans posted in the Wolves thread that it was a blow to Wolves that he had been dropped because he needed the Prem to regain his confidence. Well that's all well and good but you can't expect a Prem team to go with a no1 who is in need of confidence boosting (and given his scores so far he is clearly not the Ty Proctor of last year at the moment).
I hope Ty regains his form and goes on to be a cracking rider for Wolves this year, but I think as it stands at the moment Somerset have made the right decision.
