Mildenhall Fen Tigers V Dudley Heathens
1stbendbunching replied to PhilK's topic in National League Speedway
Adam Portwood. He also rides in the after meeting practice sessions at Foxhall. He took part in the Under 15's last year. Not sure of his age, so don't know if he's in the series this year. -
Mildenhall now have their new website up and running: www.mildenhallfentigers.co Love the "Tiger paws" against the sub-headings!
-
Fentigers79 has posted that's it's Scunthorpe, Kings Lynn, Dudley and Rye House, billy. Dannielle - whilst you will be very welcome at Ipswich, I truly wish it's wasn't at the expense of Mildenhall
-
Well it's another Ipswich fan who's gutted that Mildenhall are not running this year. For what it's worth I thought Steve Ribbons had some great ideas for promoting at Mildenhall and the proposed link up with Ipswich and the Anglian League for the youngsters was kist what was needed to help bring on the Brits. Steve - as fans is there anything at all we could do that would help to get this going again, or is it well and truly over for Mildenhall this year?
-
Why should they make their dealings public? We may be fans but I'm not sure it gives us any entitlement to know what goes on behind the scenes, unless they choose to tell us. As for the Scott Nicholls money, well, it was theirs to spend as they wished - just because they originally announced it would be spent on another rider, it didn't mean they had to.
-
Well said Dogstar. It seems to me everyone is jumping on the bandwagon of knocking the Louis' without really knowing what has gone on behind the scenes. It's easy to sit in judgement, but when only a few facts are known (rather than just rumours), it's not necessarily wise to do so.

No, and why should we? In all the interviews John and Chris Louis have given, at no time have they hinted that this is even an option. Indeed the first prize in the recent fancy dress competition was a junior season ticket for next year.

Bob Meeting, Somerset 29th October
1stbendbunching replied to NeilWatson's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
I would have thought this really needs to be in the individual section. The U15's aren't riding in it are they! Mod Note: For the record, we did offer to move it for the opening poster to the individual section There has been a lot of effort put in by the two Grahams' Phil and Neil this year and I really hope this meeting is well supported. Anyone who has seen the U15's this year will know they are a talented bunch, and I hope this meeting is a success for both their sake and British speedway as a whole. -
Under 15 Championship - Buxton
1stbendbunching replied to John Leslie's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Unfortunately I didn't have a programme - otherwise I would happily have done it. The top three from each group have already been posted on the BSPA site. As usual, there was some good racing from the youngsters. A very pretty part of the country, but it was very windy! (track watering before the start ensured it didn't get dusty). Super little track and a well run meeting by Buxton Speedway. Sorry it's brief, but hope it helps. -
Under 15 Championship - Buxton

Slight amendment to the line-up in the 125's - William O'Keefe is riding and Tom Brennan isn't (broken leg). -
Olly was going pretty well on that old Honda at the Southend Doughnut meeting. Actually I'm glad he missed the gate 'cos it was great watching him go through the field! Olly is a good young rider, and I really hope he gets a team place somewhere soon.

Ok, here goes: 500cc British Championship: Adam Kirby Tyler Govier Cameron Hoskins Andrew Ross Brandon Freemantle Adam Portwood 250cc British Championship: David Abraham Lee Cutler Jordan Hazelden Reece Downes Robert Lambert Nathan Stoneman Jack Jones 125cc Support Races: Kieran Vaughan Tom Brennan William O'Keefe Kyle Bickley Jack Collins

Yes - is it ok to post the list on here?
-
Why not simply have it that a rider is not allowed to deviate off their line for the first 10/15 metres? (I'm sure this is how is used to be). It would surely cut down on some of the problems we see now.

Grand Prix Series
1stbendbunching replied to sprocketrocket's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It's nothing to do with the organisation. A lot of promotions are only able to lease the stadium and have no flexibility over the race night. And as for a GP every week - no thanks. The majority of the series was dire last year and not a good advert for Speedway at all. Why would anyone want to watch more of the same?
