Crowd looked ok to me with people being spread out on the two straights, what is a good attendance for this level of speedway? Didn’t look that much difference to when we was in the elite league
Not the best meeting I have seen but you can only beat what’s in front of you and I expected a bit more from the witches for a team tipped to be fighting for the title. All the Lakeside riders rode well I thought and it was good to see Alfie score his first points and for Ipswich I was impressed with Mountain with King and Schlein doing as expected. Have to agree with the earlier comment regarding heat 8 from where I was standing it looked a classic case of all four back.
Agree we need more grip on the outside, used to be plenty of it when we had AJ and Kennett in the team so no excuse not to have it like that Friday. Should see some good racing because like you said it’s a track Schlein and King go well on.
I thought the crowd looked good from where I was sitting but the meeting did seem to drag on a bit. It wasn’t one of the better meetings I’ve seen it was a bit gate and go with little passing with the close score keeping it a bit tense. Didn’t seem like there was much grip on the outside which hasn’t been the case in previous seasons. All the riders rode well except Bowtell and the Peterborough reserves who all struggled and Morris was in a class of his own.
Looking forward to this one, every single rider looked dialled into the track at the rico meeting so hopefully a good win and I might even take my factor 50 with me lol.
Some people are weird I won’t argue with that and Iam pretty sure some will be hoping we have no more rain so they can have a good old moan at Cook for calling it off lol.
I think he will be ok at home but that’s it, his biggest problem is he didn’t get a ride anywhere else so won’t be doing many meetings. It’s a shame as he’s a real trier.
To be 12 points down and only lose by 2 is a decent result for us in the end. Only early doors but the signs are Alfie is going to find this level hard going.
Looked top class and Iam pretty sure he said when interviewed he’s never had so much fun on the track, it certainly showed. So refreshing for us to have some good young riders in the team who will only improve instead of having older riders in decline.
