Strange meeting really as I can’t remember being that not interested before, even when the witches got a 5-1 as the tie was over before a wheel was turned really. Iam sorry to say this because I like him but Alfie looks out of his depth he’s not even in the race he is just on his own half a lap behind every time. -

Won’t get a better guest than Kennett at Lakeside. With him and Schlein we should be in for some good racing. -

Maybe Lawson wanted to keep the matter private. -

I am glad that common sense has been used here as it’s ridiculous to ban every rider for 7 days if they are ill or have family problems. All the best to Mrs Lawson. -

Because people was saying he will be banned for 7 days and where does it say he was missing due to a family member? The Lakeside website just says illness. -

Been very impressed with Ben this season looks a more complete rider. Newman posted on his twitter that it’s nice to see the ref not knowing a rule that’s neen around for as long as he can remember. Anyone know what he is referring to? -

I have no idea how sick he is but a man shouldn’t be stopped earning his living for 7 days because he is ill today should he? -

If I was Richard or any other rider I would not say anything turn up and ride around at the back for four races so I didn’t miss out on another three or four days work. -

I know those are the rules but it’s a stupid one and I don’t see how they can even do that legally. Forcing riders not to earn a living for daring to be ill. -

It’s a stupid rule because if Lawson is ill why should he not be allowed to ride again for 7 days? -

Another superb rule. If someone is genuinely ill but is ok five days later to ride I don’t see how they can stop him. Lawson needs to get in touch with Nicholls lawyer if they try and stop him earning a living. -

Iam pretty sure Jon Cook said a couple of weeks back that Ostergaard is guesting for Ellis. -
Wasn’t referring to you mate, I do understand what the Rye supporters must be thinking they have a team like we had for many years which is old riders in decline and getting hammered on the road. Derbies with Rye and Ipswich would be good I agree and I also agree this is the level the club should stay at.

I have seen various young riders tweet about Vatcher so he must be doing something right. Anyone remember last season a few people going on about how bad Cook was and how everything was wonderful at Rye with the new all singing all dancing promoter? Doesn’t seem to have lasted long does it. Come back to Lakeside all is forgiven lol.

It’s been a good start for us and it’s so refreshing to have a young side full of riders on the up rather than riders at the end of there careers. I have also been impressed with the new manager. Things are looking good.

Lakeside v Redcar frid 20th April 8pm
liam replied to waco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Think you summed it up pretty well Marko. Obviously the heat leaders were superb and Newman aswell but Morley has really impressed me so far he gets better all the time, he has always been superb on the white line but he made a great move in heat 8 I think flying round the outside on bends 3 and 4. The top five look superb with Zach aswell but Alfie is really struggling.
