Best team we have had for god knows how long and we won’t make the play offs as we can’t fit our meetings in, after the driest summer for years. You couldn’t make it up lol.

Looks like rain to me. It will most probably be fine until around 5 past 8 knowing our luck.

Does it matter if it was called off at 3.30pm or 4pm really? They have called off meetings in the past early and the rain hasn’t come and they get pelters for it.

I am a mile away and only had a light drizzle since club said meeting is on, fingers crossed we get no more rain. Looking forward to this one and hopefully their is another good crowd like last week.

Reading the updates at the time it looked like 11 of the 15 heats were pretty much from the gate with no passing? I thought that meant it was poor

That’s just the original press release from the tenants now, nothing to stop another motorsport company or Lakeside themselves taking over the tenancy if it’s financially viable but that is a big IF.

He also said that the previous owners of the raceway had a two year option to be tenants under the new ownership and have obviously decided against the second year. I am sure he said the landlords do want speedway to continue in the area and that is something else that is being looked into but I would guess if it’s not at Arena then it’s curtains for the club.

Must of just been me then but I enjoyed the meeting and I thought their was plenty of passing. Looked to be a very good crowd and they even had the fans back on the stock car track. Some encouraging words from Cook regarding the clubs future so fingers crossed what he said they are trying to do comes off.

Who would build a speedway track right now? The sport is on its knees.

Absolutely gutted speedway at arena has been a part of my life for many years. Sad day for me.
