Ellis has been declared fit but Newman and Zach have been ruled out. RR for Newman and the club are trying to find a guest for Zach. Lakeside Rye House Hammers Select, no thanks.

Maybe we could have finished the season at Arena Essex after all lol.

Why not start at 2pm and have all three meetings on one day lol.

A good but very long way to say goodbye I thought, it was all going well until that horror crash for Zach then everything seemed to go wrong to drag the meeting out but I hope he’s going to be ok. It’s been the same old story really whenever we have had a decent side come play off time we have injuries with Kyle and now Zach. Cook was flying and without doubt the fastest man at the raceway this year but it was great to see Rich beating him in heat 15 to win the last ever race. Cook 100% clipped Morris to cause the crash aswell it was as clear as day. All in all a good way to say goodbye and fingers crossed speedway may one day return to Thurrock.

So the day has finally come for the last ever meeting at home, the club can move where they like but Arena Essex will always be home. Going to be a strange feeling knowing after 30 odd years I won’t be going back but hopefully it’s a great night and it looks as though some old club legends will be going aswell which will bring back some great memories. It’s a must win meeting but even if we win it will still feel like a loss when Iam leaving the stadium for the last time. It will be sad saying goodbye to some friends I’ve met over the years who I might not see again but let’s hope it’s a great meeting to give the old place the send off it deserves.

To be honest I think you do a decent job mate and I couldn’t really care what order you announce the riders or what music is on either.

To be honest Marko I agree with pretty much everything you say and I’ll struggle to feel the same about the club once it’s moved, I just don’t think the promotion had much choice. Friday is going to be a sad evening.

That could well happen once the move happens to Rye House but then again it might not, what we do know is if they don’t move there will be no trace Lakeside ever existed from next year.

I am as gutted and upset as anyone else about the club moving but I don’t see how the promotion can take any blame, the raceway is closing and that’s it and I can’t see the council ever building a new track. They have taken the opportunity to keep the club alive somewhere else and I hope it works out I really do. To you and me plus many others the club won’t ever be the same but at least we have the option to continue to support the club. This is not the same as when Russell decided to just move sticks with the London Lions which I hated and only went once. If the club keeps its identity I will most probably give Rye a go but if they lose the identity I won’t bother.

Arena Essex / Lakeside will be finished after this season for me aswell it just won’t be the same, not sure I’ll go Rye House I’ll just see how I feel when the season starts. I really thought we would have got at least another season at home. £25 for both meetings Saturday or £17 for the Peterborough meeting only and turnstiles will open after heat 14 of the Newcastle meeting. You won’t be able just to pay for the Newcastle meeting.

Once you get done for being a nonce it should be life behind bars.

Double header at Rye House Saturday against Newcastle and Peterborough.

If the track was as bad as people are saying I will take back what I said. Pottinger said he’s just glad all 7 riders made it through the meeting and Ellis said the track was shocking and all the riders struggled to turn. Sounds like a total waste of fans money and this was a case of people finding out the facts before having a pop at riders myself included. I hope the injured riders are ok.

Hope no Lakeside fans have made the trip. Embarrassing.

I can see something like the Hoddeson Hammers with a National League team aswell.
