Iam sure every club would want him but he's turned them all down in the past to stay with Lakeside, he seems to have a good relationship with Douglas. Maybe he will fancy a change next season but I hope not.

I can't see why AJ wouldn't be back he won't be in GP's. I would keep Bridger if he can get a Premier league club or a ride abroad as he needs more meetings. I would also keep Kennett and get Nicholls then try and get another good heat leader who can do the business away from home. Don't have a clue about the reserves.

Belle Vue V Lakeside 2nd Leg September 26
liam replied to Vincent Vega's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Congratulations to Belle Vue they are the best team in the league and I hope you go on to win it now. As for Lakeside it's not been all bad this year, seen some great meetings at home but obviously struggled massively on the road again. -

As a neutral this has been a great meeting. May the best team win from here. -
Belle Vue V Lakeside 2nd Leg September 26

I agree with that but it's been pretty much doom and gloom all season long, if it's not Cook getting stick it's Tatum. The way some go on its like Lakeside were this massive speedway club club winning trophy after trophy before Cook and Douglas took over. -
Belle Vue V Lakeside 2nd Leg September 26

I don't know what other teams forums are like but the Lakeside one has become depressing, probably one or two comments of support for tonight and that's pushing it. -

Yes because we was amazing on the road before Cook and Douglas took over from Russell. Shame on Cook for ruining this club lol. -

Some people need to get a life then -
It doesn't say anything about helping them perform better on away tracks though?

Be surprised if Belle Vue don't go close to getting 60 points -
Lakeside Vs Belle Vue, 21/9/16...

If that was Cook that decided to have the track prepared like that then he royally messed up. By far the worst meeting of the season. -

KK wasn't available and King was working for Sky. I wouldn't have taken any of the others available. Think most Lakeside fans were hoping for a signing from abroad, Hancock was the dream lol. -

I know the track is not everyone's cup of tea and that is fair enough but I've seen some good racing this year but Iam still struggling to understand why it was prepared like that!! Nilsson, Kennett and to a lesser extent Bridger have been flying of late and they all struggled. Iam not even sure if AJ was fit he would have done much on it. What is the point of using R/R because the team is full of home track specialists then not preparing it like they have all season so all the specialists struggled lol. -

Iam surprised Nicholls has never ridden for Lakeside before he has always done well except the odd bad meeting. -

I've been to every home meeting this year except one and seen some great racing but this is awful, no idea who's idea it was for the track to be like that it's not been like it all season. Play off semi final and they put this on, what a shame. Awful track awful racing. -

Interview with Cook on BBC Essex and he said they agreed a deal with a rider from Poland who was due to come over Monday, then he said they got the call from AJ saying he will return next week so that's why they never signed the Polish rider as it would have ruled AJ out for second leg and Final if we made it. -

Harris? He is probably good for about 5 points if he has a good night. -

They had a master plan. R/R, R/R or R/R. Sorry but that's poor from the club. -
The aim was to try and make the play offs and we have done that, does it matter how. Wooden spoon last year and was predicted to be fighting for that again this year so making the play offs is a big improvement, surely he deserves some credit? Exactly this mate, a team of home track specialists coupled with two gambles a reserve which haven't really paid off was always going to see us be poor away no matter what Tatum says or does. We have been good at home with some great racing which is why the crowds have normally stayed pretty good, nothing worse than keep getting whipped at home as we have found out many times before over the years.
