What riders are available for Lakeside to sign as Zachs replacement? Or will it just be a case of choosing the best available guest

That's terrible news, gutted for Zach firstly as he looked a star this season. Not sure what this does for Lakeside apart from most probably mean less people through the turnstiles. He can't be replaced.

Afternoon meetings are usually terrible, has to be an evening in my opinion.

Have to admit I am debating not going. Alfie and Zach have been the two most entertaining riders to watch and both are missing.

You didn't have much longer to wait. R/R for Alfie and Roynon as guest for Zach.

I have to say the prospect of no Alfie and his rides being taken by Laurence and the two reserves does not excite me at all.

Congratulations to Zach on being crowned U19 champion. A star of the future, just a shame we won't get to see him with Lakeside much longer.

Well a quick look on twitter for M25 live which anyone can do right now confirms there was congestion from the A2 anti clockwise and from the A12 clockwise. Maybe Cook runs the M25 live twitter account? Think Cook must have shut the car parks to back up his story of traffic

I followed the meeting updates from lakeside live and they also posted about the problems?

Their was problems with the dartford tunnel apparently which meant possibly fans missing the start of the meeting, should he just have started at 3pm with them fans missing first few heats?

Glad I gave it a miss by the look of that score. Only one rider in heat 15 aswell?

No vendetta against Laurence at all but he is never going to get much better than his 3.00 average. I would rather see a young lad given a chance who doesn't come off the throttle half way down the straight.

Agree with that. Reserves and Laurence are poor from what I have seen.

Unfortunately that happens with BT sport a lot, I had that lots of times when recording UFC. Just have to remember to tape the programme after aswell.

I am always honest and I have to say I didn't enjoy tonight. Hardly any passing except for Zach who really does look like he's going to be a star, long drawn out meeting again although I know this can't be blamed on the club and to finish it off I was attacked by flies most of the night ha. Also why when the meeting is drawn out like that can't they interview a rider or two? Nothing at all except Cook after heat 13, thought it was very poor presentation tonight.

I thought exactly the same, didn't look contact from where I was standing but wasn't 100% sure. Alfie is fast becoming a fan favourite he never gives up and is a real racer. Best atmosphere I have seen a Lakeside for years aswell I thought the Kent fans made it a really good night.

What a great meeting that was, as good as I have seen for a long time. Some great racing from start to finish especially with Ben, Zach, Paul and Luke Bowen. Faultless 15 point maximum from the youngster which Iam sure won't upset anyone ha. Wonder what the meeting will look like on YouTube
