  1. I would have hoped all clubs that stayed in the top league dropped the prices, it was a much weaker league, if Rye House was cheaper than all the other clubs then fair play to them.
  2. Rye House was probably cheaper in 2016 as Lakeside was in the Elite league and Rye was in the Premier league.
  3. Lakeside will charge the same as any other club and the racing will be the same as what its been any other year Lakeside have been in the top league. Unfortunately the facilities is down to the owner of the stadium so nothing the promotion can do. Sorry I dont get all this connecting with the fans cobblers, can someone tell me what this involves once in the stadium or what the other promotions do to connect with fans?
  4. No toys were thrown but it ended up being the same old stuff, hardly anything mentioned other than everything ending up in a Jon Cook rant. They forum used be good but over time all the good posters gradually started posting less and less. I mean its a Lakeside forum that does Rye House and Leicester meeting reports lol, I can use this forum for that. How many Leicester ones did you end up doing bal? Just for the record I have never said how you should think and have said more than once I am glad Rye have brought you more enjoyment. But to say people shouldnt bother going and if the club closes then so be it because it will anyway is a bit over the top. The comment regarding you being the admin is a light hearted joke.
  5. Yes I know you go Rye House and they treat you really nice there, I am pleased for you. I wouldnt close the forum as you say that would be really unfair, especially to the two or three actual Lakeside fans that use it. You seem to care more about closing the forum though than you do about the club actually closing. If Lakeside do close at least you can just change the forum name Kev but for some of us that will be us done with speedway.
  6. Its called sticking by your team through thick and thin, unfortunately you have to go through some lows at times to have the highs. Its a difficult time for the club but if people stick by the club then hopefully it will lead to having a new home and maybe in the future a new promoter will come along who can take the club forward, but as things stand only Jon Cook / Stuart Douglas are putting there money on the line for the club.
  7. What a fantastic comment, dont go and if it closes then so what its going to close anyway. Wow. Admin of the Lakeside hammers fans forum everyone. Thankfully I have never come across another fan in any sport I follow who thinks like this.
  8. Considering he is joint owner of a club and knows other owners well who get online abuse I would say he knows what he is talking about. I am saying he is not loaded and runs the club because he is passionate about the sport and most probably makes very little from doing so. I am all for change but I dont see a long queue of people waiting to buy speedway clubs, look how many have been lost over the years. In my opinion if Cook decided enough was enough I think Lakeside would be the next club to join that list.
  9. I thought only Poole made a profit when Lakeside was in the Elite league and Nigel Pearson was only tweeting less than a week ago saying not a chance of making a living being a promoter of a club in the top league. A few fans would do well to read his tweets about the subject to be honest.
  10. So we are looking for someone to come in and buy some land to build a track for a club that doesnt make money. Sounds like a good investment.
  11. No point in what? Voting with your feet?
  12. Who is going to want to buy a club with fears if the club will have a track to race at and hardly any fans because everyone has voted with there feet so the club will be losing money? Think you are dreaming to be honest
  13. Who is coming to take his place Claret73?
  14. I think everybody knows the crowds need to be bigger than this season and I dont think anyone would say otherwise, Iam not sure anyone has have they?
  15. Drop to the National league and people moan, go back up to the top league and people moan lol. Happy days. Exactly, nobody knows how many went to Rye or not and if the ones that did will come back or not and to be honest who really cares.
  16. Didnt expect Tatum to be there so Cook should have taken his place as team manager. Maybe they could have just raffles off the chance to be manager lol.
  17. Who said Cook wasnt there? Very poor if thats true.
  18. What better riders? Its pretty much Championship standard anyway with a couple of top class riders like Doyle.
  19. It's a shame Lakeside wouldn't do both the national and premiership leagues I have enjoyed this season and would like to have seen Jason for a full season to see how he progresses.
  20. All the years I have been coming speedway seeing Edwards winning his first heat was one of my favourite moments. A local boy who I have seen improve over the years before meetings making his debut and winning is what the National League should be about. After one last place he was superb all meeting. Well done Jason and I hope to see you for the hammers in the future. From what I saw in the pits Kelvin was spending a lot of time with him.
  21. So it's Nick Laurence that Jason Edwards has replaced I thought it would have been for Locke. I guess that means Connor at number 2
