  1. Fair point, however, these are all riders who have a lot more experience of the Monmore track, give Buzz a season and he'll soon get to grips with it and he'll be worth it for the entertainment alone.
  2. Wolves signing Buzz could work out well. He is a rider who always gives 100% he is extremely entertaining to watch and despite what some people say, he actually did fairly well when we went to Monmore in 2011 with 6+1 from 4 rides and he only dropped points to Lindgren, Woffinden and Karlsson (and Proctor).
  3. Think our team will be a fairly solid and balanced one with riders who can ride other tracks as well as our own. Not sure if we'll be competing when it comes to October but I think it could be very interesting to see how things go.
  4. This is exactly what I'm trying to say, surely they must agree to become an asset of the buying club, so therefore it must be of some kind of benefit to them. Without knowing exactly how these things work, it's impossible to say whether the asset system works or not and it is impossible to say whether or not there is a better system to be used. Personally, I feel that if a rider has been on loan at a club for a couple of seasons then that club should have to sign them as an asset if they want to continue using them. That way riders who no longer want to ride for their parent club will move on and all clubs will have to build up an asset base, which will give them options when it comes to team building.
  5. What I mean is, they generally start with a PL club, and then if they do well enough the EL clubs start to sniff around, but what incentive do these riders get to then become assets of the EL clubs rather than remain as the PL club's asset and keep their EL options open?
  6. Most riders who race in Britain start out in the Premier League, so surely it would make sense for the riders to remain as assets of the Premier League teams, that way, if they make it at Elite League level and get their averages up to a point where they are too good to ride in the Premier League then they truly do have the choice of where to ride. This would also help Premier LEague teams to build up their asset bases and eventually we could move to a point where promotion and relegation is a real possibility. So, the question is, why do these riders agree to sign as assets for Elite League teams? There must be some kind of financial benefit, maybe a signing on fee or a retainer or something along those lines, otherwise what would they gain out of it?
  7. Except riders on an attractive average could turn down their current club and spark a bidding war to sign for whichever club will pay them the highest wage.
  8. Will they have 6.05? I would guess that with Worrall not achieving an actual EL average he will be on his converted PL average again which would be 3.47, leaving 5.58. Nilsson would then be the perfect fit.
  9. I think the signs are good for Lynn at the moment. The fact that we have brought Hans back with a quote from Rick Frost saying "It’s also an opportunity to look at our own assets before we begin formulating a team for next year" tells me that there's a chance Kenneth could be staying there. I think most Panthers fans are also of the opinion that Niels is better off elsewhere and I have a feeling Swindon and Coventry may possibly feel the same way about Mads & Olly. With a sensible (42 minimum) points limit I think they may be able to keep their top 5 together. Alternatively they could draft in the rest of our 2009 team and go with Kenneth Bjerre Ales Dryml Kenneth Hansen Mads Korneliussen Niels Kristian Iversen Henning Bager Claus Vissing The averages would have to drop slightly from the September GSAs if the limit were 42.5 though
  10. I have to say that after the AGM last year I was really hoping Panthers would go Premier League. I felt we had the asset base to put together a decent side in either League and I was fed up with all the arguing and abuse in the EL section. A year on and the EL section is still full of it and I can't decide whether Poole winning the Play Offs will help calm things down or not. I really hope we have a much better winter break and things get sorted out quickly this year but I'm not holding my breath. Anyway, the whole point of my post was to say that I feel Ipswich definitely made the right move and at the right time. I'm glad things are working out well and I hope you have a good 2012 whatever team you put out. Look after Taylor and any of our other assets.
  11. I'm a Panthers fan, but I do also enjoy my trips to the Norfolk Arena when I get the chance. My feeling at the moment is that if we were to lose the Panthers I would be happy to travel to Lynn to support them in the Premier League. However, I could not support a team who support what's going on in the Elite League right now and I have no idea why anyone would even want to step up into it at the moment. I really hope things get sorted in the Elite League and I can continue going to both, and I really hope that whatever decision is made by Kings Lynn is the right one for them.
  12. Thanks for that Mr Mungo Well done to all the Panthers, Claus, Rene and Klaus. Also well done to Kenni Larsen (my Fantasy Team rider) and Lasse Bjerre.
  13. Hi Is there any way of finding out any updates for these meetings online? Thanks
