  1. Very PC, takes me back to the days of Benny Hill . Happy new year to everyone .
  2. Maybe Russian , North Korean or Chinese interference then to destabilise us, on a website with such worldwide influence....
  3. Sorry not on the right thread really, but does anyone know why they're not working and can someone put it right ? Been a pain for weeks, months even.
  4. This forum is like the dark web...... the lunatics are always in the background waiting to make an appearance .
  5. The one thing you can definitely see with the possibility of both Tom and Ben ( and quite a few others across the championship) possibly achieving towards a 9 average the aim of lowering the level of the championship(good or bad) is well on the way. With the same points limit in 2025 the likes of Tom and Ben will be No1's or no longer in the championship.
  6. Perhaps I've always rated Tom, saw him first stradle a bike at Arlington, and progress from that stage and don't think he'll let you down. As a matter of interest would you see Ben Cook as a failure if he doesn't get towards a 9 point average with his home track knowledge already in hand? Again I would have thought around an 8 point average would be a result, but assume that would see it a failure? Think if Tom and Ben average around/in excess of 8 Poole are in with a good chance again.
  7. As it still won't let me do it 'like'.
  8. I know the league has been weakened, but if he achieves an 8 point average, would that not be deemed a success and vindicate the decision anyway?
  9. 2 sensible, un dramatic posts for a change on this forum and bang on appraisals really.
  10. Blame it on global warming, it's blamed for everything else.....
  11. Think Tom will rise to the occasion at 5, especially with team guidance on the track, actually takes most of the pressure off team riding in that position as well, just a thought anyway....
  12. Have to be honest the above is true on both counts, shame to say it, but would you really want to start your championship campaign with both those variables ?
  13. Heard it maybe Rasmus Bacon and Henrick Pastry......
  14. It does seem odd, can understand a weekend club going to a Thursday being a no no for most fans, was a disaster for Eastbourne way back for one season in the Elite, but Weds to Thurs? Maybe Spoons curry club or bingo or something....Having said all that most club fans always prefer their traditional night whatever it is, so probably just creatures of habit I suppose, whether the 'incentive ' of Premiership racing is enough to change the habit, almost certainly not I imagine.
  15. I meant a potential employer in speedway not outside of it. I don't know him personally and he maybe able to rectify his misdemeanor and come back clean and stronger, was just saying he's not a 17 year old who hasn't lived yet and needs to grow up, must have known the consequences in failing a test and perhaps if hasn't learnt that at 33 years old not a good scenario for all concerned in the speedway pressure cooker.
  16. If he can't act like a responsible adult/professional sportsman at 33 years old, time for him and any potential employer to move on I would have thought, or is it just me....
  17. And I'm sure you'd collect them back together in the morning ? But I know where you're coming from.....
  18. Seem to remember that happened in 2015 in the NL when Eastbourne weren't league champions, can't remember who actually won the league, but they were crowned League champions, but Eastie won a thing called the Gold Cup which had a semi final and final played out by the top 4. Happened one season and was dumped. Although if it been the playoffs we'd have 'won' the league, it did seem the correct way running a league and having proper league champions who performed best across the whole season.
  19. Didn't see that, still seems an odd decision not to retain a Brit who's captain, led them to the title and still heading in the right direction, but as said a move away will probably move him up and on again. I know I'm a bit biased with him, having been an Eastie supporter and saw him come through as a wee lad who could only just stradle a bike, just a shame we didn't get the fruits of him and Jason Edwards, especially as Eastie generally retained riders, sometimes too loyal to them, but all in the past now....
  20. Maybe, although he did say Glasgow contacted him and said he wasn't in their plans. Anyway sure he'll up his game again next year, wherever he goes.
  21. Absolutely nothing and will be in high demand, maybe Glasgow definitely going Premiership and Brennen is already in someone's plans in that league? Probably wrong, but can't imagine many reasons to shed him at the moment.
  22. Lawson for the normal season, Bomber for the playoffs, sure that can be engineered within the rules next season by someone.....just a thought....
  23. I did as well, was certainly a draw even then, and the joy of china clay stuck to your trainers never to come off.....
