  1. You like me have seen Foord at Arlington and Kent since he was tiny, has always over riden from day one and at times didn't end well, looks like that's just the way he rides I suppose.
  2. Unfortunately just proves what they really think of the NL now , just an annoyance they have to pay lip service to.
  3. Laguta was definitely a big pile of number 2 here last season....
  4. Haven't heard any negative from Brum or Poole this year re team mates etc, so maybe he's not the problem?
  5. To me it was stupid of the management to ask him in the first place. No one could win, if he got 12 points, people would say they'd made a mistake sacking him and not Lampart, if he got 0 they'd say he didn't try had the hump and was the right one to go and wouldn't have done him any favours, or heaven forbid he got injured and ruined his chances of another team straight away. I expect most riders would have said no a day after being sacked I would have thought.
  6. Sounds like it's one person with a split personality arguing with himself to me, well that's what my friend thinks.....I think.....
  7. A stupid accusation as well although realise it was done flippantly, would be one of the meetings of the year they wouldn't need to do it anyway, even if Poole were inclined to do so. Other ways to get an advantage without parting with money anyway.
  8. Slightly off topic, but forgot that Kyle Newman was in and around some really top line riders that year points wise. Such a shame some really bad injuries stopped his progression from there.
  9. I'm a chemist...... just made a cup of coffee and doing a lunch shortly.
  10. So sad when you think the standard of the NDL 5 /6 years ago, not so sure the likes of Brennen/Edwards/Flint etc would have got to where they are today if this had been the NDL standard when they were 15 year olds. In fact most matches aren't even up to the standard of the 2nd half junior matches at Arlington a few years ago and they were an extra 'free' tag on to a meeting. Wish I could be bothered to find your and my posts( if you still can) in about 2018/19, but we could see this happening back then and sure the way it went hastened the demise of the likes of Eastbourne and Kent ( and a few others) as well.
  11. I think you're right, heat of the moment can get to all of us, I've done it watching the tv at some meetings, although try not to in the stadium, but a planned interveiw like Woffinden's is unforgivable really. As Poole Keith has said there is an amazing crop of young( mostly Spanish and some Italians) who conduct themselves so well in a foreign language, they're a credit to moto gp. Don't ever remember Mark Loram seeming it necessary to drop the bomb in the heat of the moment or in an interview.
  12. Most Europeans speak really good English and sure the F word is one of the first they learn. I watch quite a lot of the European stuff on Netflix etc, and even speaking in their own languages normally the F word( plus most of the 'others') don't need subtitles.
  13. So basically if your reserves first name was Lewis all ok, if not unhappy with the rules....
  14. Can't think there would be any reason ( apart from giving one of the top 5 a move to the easier position for a confidence boost) to take him out of the reserve berth if he can stay there all season, opens up so many possibilities during the match to score good points and use him as a substitute.
  15. Exactly he should be given an opportunity to prove his rehabilitation, but for his and the victims sake should be nowhere near employment in the limelight of a sport or similar, especially speedway where 99.9% of the people involved know his previous.
  16. Had the opportunity 5 years or so ago to continue a successful NDL with more teams, but seemed to be sacrificed because it encroached on the league above. Could see what was going to happen then and it's definitely gone the way it was obviously going to go, with the clamour for points lowering and the " it's a development league" , which drove out some of the experienced guys to help with the youngsters developing. I know cost were a problem, but lowering the points didn't really help the 'smaller' clubs and sure the likes of Eastbourne, Kent, and Mildenhall would have continued and thrived in a decent level NDL , certainly a time when Brennen, Edwards and Abblit seemed to develop ok at Eastbourne. Think this league will be lucky to survive as it's virtually no longer develops and it's not really a league.
  17. Thomson possibly, Kemp seems to have been needing another season or 2 for the last 3 or 4, so seems to have got to his level.
  18. You're right, it was just an answer to not performing in the big meetings, and although the travelling had a massive downside during the season in other meetings, was just to point out that once the travelling to Poland ceased he probably showed his true level on the biggest 2 meetings of the season for Glasgow, even at No2. Think it pretty nailed on he'll improve at Poole, the really interesting one will be Birmingham, certainly started well there. Being a long term Eastie fan saw him as a tiny lad before the meetings at Arlington, suppose makes it more personal with his progress having seen him ride for about 18 years. Don't think he'll be a world beater, but sure he'll become a proper heat leader in the next couple of seasons.
  19. Did Tom not get 9+2 and 9+1 in the grand final win last year? Would of thought that was a pretty good return and certainly not absent when it really mattered. I do think the biggest reason was probably the travelling which seemed to take its toll at times and the move to Poole will move him up a notch again.
  20. Whether the decision is right or wrong ( personally think under the circumstances it was right, especially as its 28 days) and it's so unlikely to make any difference to the outcome of the eventual league champions I would imagine, as the teams likely to get to the playoffs won't be affected by it one way or another through a full season.
  21. The tractor he used had a wheel track 2 gates wide on our narrow track, surely wasn't his fault he had to flatten/pack most of gates 2 or 4 or 1 and 3 a bit when grading before heat 15 when we had the choice......
