Hope he fulfills his promise this year, seen him ride before the match at Eastie since he was hardly big enough to staddle a bike and always looked so neat on a bike like Jason. Look after them both for us, sure at some point he'll be in the Eagles team as well.

Top the league, bottle the playoffs again I expect
-
Piffle makes me laugh for some reason, suppose it's more polite than bol***ks.
-
Kent Queens?
-
Like all disliked riders, especially from your main local competition over the years Eastie were in the NL, if he puts in the effort and reliability he did in his first 4 seasons of speedway the crowd will soon be supporting him, dull he certainly isn't.
-
Does it taste horrible, never tried it.
-
Likelihood would be 2 home wins by a similar amount, so crowd wise should be good and the overall win would be fairly close so probably be a good call by both promotions.
-
Your picture is apt

Saw Douglas and Nicol in the CL at Eastie last year, both were fantastic having never riden our awkward/tight track before. From the outside the fact you've got riders who could be the backbone of your team for seasons to come can only be good. I understand being under 2 points grates for some, but long term looks the right way to me, only shame is Nichol isn't doubling with us at Eastie. I'm sure all 3 will up their average this season too, playoffs the aim first, then who knows, Wolves have done it before as we know to our cost, 2002 still annoys me!

Steady on you'll pass out with the praise!

Whatever the surprise is 52% will either like it or not, and 48% will either like it or not I expect with pages of debate, or am I thinking of something else?
-
Just shows the points limit must be right, top heavy teams, strength in depth, good reserves, best top 5 etc. All differing opinions on here which will work, and expect they'll be an 'Ipswich' this season which nobody will expect to get to the final. I think Swindon are favourites, but its nice not to be sure.

I'm sure I remember seeing David riding on the training track , but being in my 60's could be a memory thing!
-
True it could be a long and winding road to the end of the season.
-
Yes, but they are willing to put the effort in 8 days a week.
-
Hancock and Holder are yesterdays riders, would you really want either?
-
Maybe Len doing what he's done before and signing someone before a confirmed average, just 'assuming ' he'd come on a 2, or he knew the other six from word go and having Ledwith on a 2 or a 4 made no difference and was going to have him whatever?
-
Glad that's all cleared up then
-
I always advocated that over the last few seasons when the likes of Eastie, Kent and Birmingham were in the NL it was a perfect training ground for the likes of Brennan, Kemp, Flint and many others but there were some who said it wasn't a "development " league and costs too high, if it goes down the route it appears to be going it'll disappear and harm the prospects of future riders of the like. Hope I'm wrong!
-
No surprise, obviously found his level.

Can't remember the last time Eastie got a bye in the first round of the ko cup, nailed on to win it this year, with a few of the fancied runners to go out early, especially with our trick track that has such a home advantage( just want to get that in early as it's bound to come up at some point), last season was just a blip in our record of ko cups victories in all the other leagues.
-
If they don't know for sure it's dodgy really, and Len has history of building a team before all the facts are known and coming unstuck, although can't believe he won't be 2.00?
-
He'd have to be at reserve then to be lower down the order than at Eastie,(rode at No2 normally)which maybe the case?
-
That is an astonishing thought!
-
Nothing against Rob Ledwith and hope he stays safe and injury free, but it does seem strange that all the years in the NL that Kent haven't nurtured a couple youngsters (like Eastie have with Brennan and Edwards to name 2) knowing at somepoint the step up could happen. Of course if the other reserve is a talented youngster maybe some sense in it.
