Although past his prime, one thing you know with Bjarne he has always been reliable when he rode in the uk, with a professional set up and normally top class machinery, never been a mixer like the main Pedersen, but if he's lost little of his speed was hard to pass, even the couple of seasons he was at Eastbourne. I'll say it before anyone else does, I know it's hard to pass anyway at Arlington, but he was the same only better in his Poole days.
-
Don't think any offer would improve what he has at Eastbourne, not just financial but being part of a 'team' that'll be built around him Brennen hopefully Kemp for years to come.
-
Won't happen, speedway riders have always wanted to ride where they want to. Asset system, meant nothing if the rider didn't want to ride for the parent club, can't see this being any different.

Just to confirm what will happen at Eastie. If there is any league racing this year the Eagles will line up as expected.
-
Obviously not an Eastie fan, our announcements are always 100% credible and always have been
-
Would think not, no need to and they don't want to, team announcement has already been made on the Eagles website.
-
If they were Gemini would that make the pair one star or two.... just a thought as I'm bored.
-
Indeed, at any level close racing is the key, and the memorable meetings that stick in my mind over the last 20 years have normally involved a last heat decider.
-
Perhaps THJ 's thinking of the hotels he normally stays in? ( Pre covid of course)

Why don't you just shut up about it now, and leave this section for Sheffield related items. If by some other worldly chance in the next few years your idea is anywhere near correct, start a new topic "I told you so " or similar. If there's no BSF by then if the state has taken all liberty away as you're convinced we'll remember you were right all along.

As long as the suits still fit, could have been a few pounds put on during lockdowns, especially the slightly older ones.
-
I just hope as you say he doesn't have another bad injury, he seems to have had so many over the years. Great bloke and always good to watch at speedway and grass track.
-
just hope there's some speedway now.

Suppose until we see/know the list we won't know for sure, but Brennen was over 6 (before the reduction) and think Kemp was in the upper 3 point range. Would imagine they may not be graded reserves in the championship at those averages especially Brennan on that average, aiming to bring on the likes of Edwards/Gilkes etc. No dought we'll know by May.
-
Probably the same team as 2020? Was under 41 with Edwards on a 2 and now 39 points for 6 riders and assuming Edwards now a grade 2 should fit in the new system ?
-
Or both maybe if Eastbourne have to adjust the team due to a points reduction?
-
Got a feeling they'll be a points lowering, or something similar, even so sure we'll have a strong team even if we have to make a change, just hoping we can still start with Jason and Drew at reserve.

Basically Eastbourne's plan over the last five years(and for longer to be honest), Saturday night first choice, if not Sunday afternoon always seem to have had a fair amount of youngsters watching, with juniors before and/or after. Have had the pleasure of seeing the likes of Kennett, Bridger, Brennen, Edwards, Abblit plus many more over the years grow from just being able to straddle a bike to adult racing.
-
Still looking positive for Eastie after the BSPA statement. Whatever the exact makeup of the teams, points etc, with an all British team policy since we dropped to the NL to date, with Brennen, Kemp and Edwards our young British rider gateway is already in place, build the team around those 3 would be my choice.
-
Insane or stupid( take your pick) if they do.
-
Was going to put a like by your post, but would feel guilty with the death of a couple of friends. But as always light the touch paper, stand back and get a great reply.
-
Would imagine maybe it'll stay 6 in the Premiership, and with a short season, maybe easier to arrange a meaningful one with 6 teams anyway and complete it. Talking of the vaccine have you had yours yet John? If not must be imminent I imagine?
-
Eastbourne engaged with families when they had to drop to the National league, and are/were making great strides doing the same in the Championship. If for arguments sake we had the pleasure of seeing the likes of Tom Brennen, Drew Kemp etc for the next few seasons, developing into heat leaders but eventually becoming as good as Bewley and Lambert, if the situation is still the same with Poland, I would still applaud their ambition if leaving British speedway is the only way to go/improve, hoping eventually to see them in the GP's, same applies to Bewley and Lambert as well. There is an argument we're feeding the Polish league with our top riders, but we can't compete at the moment, and only a select few will be good enough to go to the top in Poland, so a high proportion of the young riders we develop will be racing here for years to come.

Probably virtually none, but if he reads the forum, at least it'll put his mind at rest making the decision he has.
