  1. Could it be Jack Holder not doing UK next season and has let them know already. Be a no brainer for them to go with Woffinden and Chris Holder. ( Sorry wrong thread really.)
  2. If Poole let Oxford use a rider up to 5, Poole win by 20 on aggregate instead of 30, but would probably make for better racing over the 2 legs. Can't happen but can only see a very one sided final.
  3. Haven't seen them posted apart from a filled out program on the Kent speedway Facebook page, looked like it was 47/43 to Thurrock on that.
  4. A good one I hope, hopefully keep the club and the track alive for the time being.
  5. I won't say any more........no need to......
  6. Can you both disappear back to the Poole thread, don't want this pathetic rubbish on here.
  7. Weather looks good for Sunday, dry and sunny, but wrap up well, will be cold.
  8. Disregarding who was at fault last night ( looks to be Scott probably), unfortunately there will come a time, probably sooner than later, when he won't bounce if he doesn't calm down or alter his technique slightly. Tom Brennen had a couple of really bad crashes and injuries early on as a 16/17 year old, had far more ability than Vinnie, but over tried trying to compete with heat leaders from word go. Learnt his lesson improved his technique and strength and look where he's going now, can be done and hope Vinnie can learn but we'll see......
  9. ☹️ , so sad when you think of the years and money Bob put into Eastbourne speedway.
  10. Slack given by me, almost championship level, especially with the forecast points limit next year.... Probably know the answer, and imagine the situation is the same, but assume there is still absolutely no chance of a return to Arlington at any level?
  11. Think you've summed it up really well, and I've no problem with the situation as a number will stay, but it just confirms what British speedway is now really, a feeder for higher leagues here initially here which is good, but eventually a feeder for Poland for the really good ones we develop, never to be seen again until the final pay days needed when they're past their best in Poland ( apart from Jason Doyle , top man) .
  12. Suppose at least you know the football will be on whatever and won't be a wasted trip to Leicester ( apart from the fact high level football is an overpriced/overrated sport )...... Wouldn't lose to much sleep having to leave early, even now the forecast isn't brilliant next week.
  13. So do you all think if next Monday is wet and the following Thursday dry that Leicester would change their day to the following week to get the second leg? No, they wouldn't want to and wouldn't be allowed because of the tv coverage especially if the track is good. I'm not anti Poole but this situation is fairly unique to Poole and has been for the last 25 years at least. Your 'entitlement' was to have the choice of dates coming top, but that should be the end of the 'entitlement' and meetings should surely be run the day you've chosen if weather intervenes with the other date. Heading for wet dreadful meetings at end of October, or another November extension again when you look at the long range forecast if matches aren't got on with at every opportunity.
  14. Not bath night then.... Was only joking and sure it'll be a fantastic crowd as usual, just thinking if it was financially viable you should be back in the Premiership if a Friday is no problem, sure a Thursday would soon be accepted, but that's another topic that'll come up again I expect. Anyway good luck to both teams next week, the final as expected with 2 teams close to each other on track and geographicly to get bumper crowds.
  15. Looks like Oxford will have the majority of the crowd for the Poole home leg. Always being told it's Wednesday night or nothing by the Poole fans, Friday is probably bath night or something I expect .....
  16. Seem to remember him being cleaner than a lot of riders across his career, but maybe he tried a bit harder in the local derbies with Poole giving that impression ?
  17. Expect that some bloke was still somewhat faster and neater than the other 2....
  18. On holiday in Cornwall at the moment for the first time in 20 years or so, and drove through the china clay 'hills' at Nanpean today where Tralawny used to race. Saw Chris there back then, exciting and giving his all as a youngster, he's a fantastic advert for British speedway, still riding at such a high level today.
  19. Poole have a little bit to thank a rogue Eastbourne promoter for their success since the drop to the championship, sure Brennen, Lawson, and Foord would have been in an Eastie team if still going, along with Edward's and Abblit. Certainly hasn't helped the development of youth riders them disappearing the way they did.
  20. Have they gone mad!! Signing the same up and coming Aussie again who gives his all instead of their usual European no hoper they normally sign......
  21. Although he's a tough lad, expect it's beginning to affect him a bit on the mental side as well, having to carry the team on many occasions to date, when should be a No 3 or 4 really and the odd team decision of getting rid of his Poole team mate Cook.
