  1. If he doesn't retire would make Eddie Kennett unemployable really on that average, think they'll be a shortage of middle/lower order riders so Kyle Newman hopefully will find a team if he wants to continue.
  2. Bloody hell, it's going to be a long winter I think!! !!!
  3. That's what I mean really, problems with the previous promotion, refunds etc on here, hopefully the future of speedway at Arlington in 2023 on the the other thread.
  4. Hopefully will still be at BV next season.
  5. Perhaps all these post on the future of Eastbourne speedway should go on the Eastbourne speedway section opened by MD, this ones for the past really.
  6. Sure he does, we've had a go at an all British team for the last stint in the championship, let's get the finances together and apart from the rising star ( probably gone by 2023) go for all Aussies, and Scandinavians etc, maybe attract bigger crowd?
  7. Thought that would be the case, think he's only had involvement in those leagues, it was Connor and Martin Dugard who were behind the success in the NL.
  8. To be honest he didn't help the cause much at home, he was pretty poor and looked like he should retire really, certainly wasn't a No1, and was far off the best at 3 or 4 when he dropped down.
  9. At least Trevor Geer has been with the club in one form or another for so long so knows the former ethos along with the Dugards. Just hope the year out doesn't loose a lot of the current fan base, I think unlikely and hopefully will fire everyone up again. Also gives a bit of extra time to see which way the leagues go again,( good NL again etc)one would think though with Trevor at the helm they will be trying for at least championship level again.
  10. Is that the lot Kym Marsh was in? Didn't realise their language was that bad.
  11. I'd rather he'd stay in this country, but Arlington didn't do Nicki Pedersen a lot of harm when he was at his best winning world championships, he even commented it improved his skill on all tracks including the bigger ones and his gating.
  12. Don't suppose anything can be done with money owed to riders, but wonder if any new promotion could at worst give discounts or even a free meeting (or 2)to people like yourself owed money if the info can be found, cost a bit at the start, but hopefully would pay back long term.
  13. I'm sure this is the general consensus from most speedway fans, realising it's not the 'club' but the last promotion, pretty convinced it won't tarnish the Dugard legacy and hopefully we can move on, but will take something special.
  14. Age is just a number so I'm told and he does look fit and lean, not obviously at the same level, but a lot younger than Greg Hancock when he retired from top line speedway.
  15. Seems to be a thing with grasstack, especially in the sidecars, surnames there I recognise from when I went as a boy. I must go again next season especially if Eastbourne don't run, Brands hatch and grasstack instead
  16. Many thanks, as I say admire the guys who keep racing for so long.
  17. Just carry on with the one you kept going in the Premiership this season, covers all eventualities.
  18. They don't really, just need to do a slightly better job than this year in the most competitive league and keep Saturday night. Should keep the fans coming in if you can be nearer the top from go( although Eastbourne didn't help that cause this season) and keep costs to a viable amount I suppose.
  19. I suppose I should say I have done a couple since that time to see current (ish) bikes, worse thing is living in Chichester there's never any close by to speak of unless I venture into Kent, although did see Kelvin Tatums last ride at the Bonfire Burnup ( which he won) and some time ago saw a very young Lewis Denham mop up a meeting near Gatwick airport. Talking about it makes me feel I should try and get to a few next year.
