Still look on the bright side, at least they contribute to society and pay their taxes!! Think the problem is country wide, down south there's earth banks and telephone pole thickness reinforced steel gates/barriers around local recreation fields and parks etc. There are a couple of purpose built sites I can think of, but it does seem they prefer the sites like parks and the Worky site, so when they do get moved on they can leave all their s**t.

Too much valuable copper for that idea to work I think !!! (Sorry Neila beat me to it)

NDL 2022 - AGM & League composition
gazzac replied to PotteringAround's topic in National League Speedway
On that basis do you really want to come back to NDL as it is? Imagine what you know now can be developed and put on an even better family oriented show, certainly young children's attention span is only a couple of races, throw different things in, and keep their attention can only be a good thing. -
Exactly, what ifs can be said for every team, every season gone by with outcomes that have gone either way, the glass half full people will think one way, the half empty the other, as is always proved on here. It's the Ipswich team you've got and to be honest the points shortfall of use is neither here or there really, at least give it a chance, it's definitely not a no hope team in my veiw and who knows if the what ifs go the right way.

Edinburgh I expect as Poole are still going through their 'vast array' of rider negotiations to announce yet I imagine .
-
Most of them .

Bet Glasgow and Poole are 'glad' of Easties demise, reserves from this year for Poole and maybe the best of the the young Brits for the future in the UK, thanks Ian Jordon

Are there enough riders left to make up an 'array' ?

Number 8 for each team and Junior League
gazzac replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Don't think you're missing anything. -
That's what grates so much, we've always been a club with a conscience, and a speedway heritage, always known for prompt payment of riders etc. Going to need some good PR, but does look positive from the noises coming from the new set up.

Number 8 for each team and Junior League
gazzac replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sorry to sound a bit negative, good ideas, but the feed of riders of the current standard will become less and less, it's living off the back of the successful national league a couple of seasons ago, if nothing's done to rectify a decent NL it's short term again, I can see the second halves being half hearted like last season. -
Seems on the bsf quite a number of posters would like to bury the hatchet IN Cook preferably. Whoever signs him, always a gamble, but that's always the case with riders like him, Batchelor, Riss etc, some gambles pay off some not.

Have to make sure the air fence is in good order as well I would imagine.
-
I'm sure you're a nice person, but did it have the desired effect?
-
On the flip side, I never lose my hunger for spuds!

As you say does it not more a less even out if the Eastbourne results are left in with rolling averages, some going up or down, team changes etc. I just think the worst problem is no absolute clarification, if it was announced a month ago they're definitely left in (or out) everyone would know, although gives another topic to discuss I suppose.

Kennett was dreadful last year at No1 even before the Jordon debacle and just about held his own in the middle order, imagine Plymouth will be looking to get Andersen and MPT at 1and 5 asap.
-
I think NASA are having a go, but don't hold out any hope.
-
The Hoe and the Barbican are lovely if you've never been to Plymouth
-
He never seemed down on power from what I've seen , and was probably the most used guest last year ,certainly in the championship and how many times did he guest at Plymouth banging in high scores? Don't want to be a downer for Plymouth, but don't think Andersen will give the same return as Lawson would have done across a season.

replacing season tickets wolves speedway
gazzac replied to jaybob's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Similar to the Eastbourne model this season , hopefully yours will be more successful!!! -
Ok, probably nothing till 2023 I would imagine?
-
Only Brennen at the moment, but maybe Abblit ,Edward's will go the same way, maybe Vinnie Foord eventually, not necessarily Glasgow but other teams.
-
Numbers game as usual.

I know, all those promising youngsters developed by Eastie over the last few seasons lost now due to what seems one promoter, I'm I bitter?
