  1. It all stems from not enough riders, especially good riders in the Premiership, mugged away the chance back in the Elite/Sky days. If you had a stand alone Premiership with top line riders, without the doubling up of so many and only a few of the heat leaders from the championship in the Premiership it wouldn't be the problem, and you'd have natural progression from NL to championship with closer racing and progression of the ones to make it, or be competitive in the championship. Unfortunately through bad management/promotion of the product, those days have gone....shame, not enough teams left to do it now and the problems Poland have caused with race nights means almost no way back.
  2. Expect a couple of ports out of the decanter help.....
  3. Just hope Kerr has an injury free season for you, he's had so many bad injuries through the years, one or 2 have taken a lot of guts to come back from.
  4. You mean speedway I assume? Once a week if you're lucky, but more often a 2 or 3 week gap, then nothing for 6 months.....
  5. Apart from Lawson, who always seems to deliver, they'll all have to step up next season, still looking a strong side and maybe another rabbit out the hat for the last rider, but can't see them dominating like they did last season, although they normally seem to get it right. Nice to see the last heat leaders Eastbourne had being employed by Poole again ....
  6. Suppose the only thing is if 2 or 3 of you go and normally share a programme, if included would make it dearer for their evening.
  7. He was the only No1 that was never really liked by the Eastbourne fans( me included). When you think Bjarne Pedersen won us over with his likeability and professionalism fairly quickly, having been the arch enemy captain for all those years at rivals Poole. We weren't hard to win over, but Zagar always seemed to have an 'I'm better than here' attitude to the fans.
  8. I'll announce I'll probably have a No 2 at 7am tomorrow.....
  9. Age factor/injuries could catch up, especially Doyle, reckon the pairings will be closer to being the same next year than 2024, just need an injury free season to see.
  10. Think the sure dose was the problem from word go......
  11. Top promoter, his attention to detail and making sure everything's correct is at the same level as making sure the fuel taps definitely on....... Fantastic team assembled and deserve the success they were robbed of last season, fingers crossed injury free next season.
  12. Floppy actually was Eastbourne's No 1 in 2004 with a nearly 10 point average, even when Nicki was at his peak, such a shame after a broken leg, then concussion he never quite got to those heights again. Nicki always preferred to ride at 5 I reckon because it meant normally less team riding as well.
  13. Used to be that way, always remember Crump and Pedersen preferring to be at 5, gave the track time to bed in before their first ride.
  14. Is it just me, but do any others think Kvech will prove to be a pretty good number 1 this season with the experience of last year beginning to learn tracks etc. If he can after the first average changes, with Ben riding in the middle order or at 5 would be a solid team, not playoff winners I imagine but certainly could get to them, a lot of ifs what's and maybes but probably won't lose many at home.
  15. Suppose if he is the one to go( not nailed on yet, although seems very likely) and they really wanted Brennen, Rews loan fee would offset Brennen's and with Sayfutinov and the expected Doyle in the team, certainly not cheap. Of course he may have wanted to go to a team with more Aussies in it.
  16. Or perhaps he wanted a move to a different track to improve his skill set ? Not that it makes a lot of difference but is Rew an Ipswich asset?
  17. Definately on the fuel, but always thought it wasn't beyond the ability of manufacturers to get around 100mpg and 150bhp with extremely low co out of a 1.0litre petrol engine without the ecological disaster of getting the lithium for electric cars. Still think the way it should of gone first, no one wants second hand electric cars and disposal is a nightmare. Anyway hope alls well at the track
  18. Surely at 5ft nothing they can't be that big......
  19. I take your point, but I was(is) a long time Arlington supporter and when we were in the 'Elite' league was nearly always good racing ( not agreed by everyone) but was always at it's best when we were winning at home, which happened more often than not. Different era, maybe just shows how it's rubbish now compared to the 2000's apart from BV.
  20. Unfortunately more often than not you get both or neither, especially in the Premiership, hence Birmingham's continual problems season after season.
  21. Getting in and out has always been very good, I rode there on many occasions in my moto cross days, and back in the 70'/80's the international moto cross on Good Friday attracted the top riders in the world and had the best crowds along with the moto cross gp into the tens of thousands, so should cope with speedway on that front.
  22. Sort of like it was 4 or 5 years ago when it truly developed riders who then could compete properly at Championship level instead of the state it's in now. Think unfortunately we probably know the answer... 6 man teams seem a good idea whatever happens.
  23. 39 maybe....keep everyone unhappy and whinging as usual.....
