  1. Or like a hand drill with a variable speed control on the trigger maybe? I'm sure the moto cross bike I saw had plenty of variation.
  2. It's a real interesting conundrum, methanol bikes apparently about 75/85 hp, which would be pretty good for an electric motor in a motorbike, but torque especially comes into it so would imagine wouldn't be much between them, who'd have thought a few years ago the fastest road cars on the planet would be electric.
  3. I think if Poole do 2 changes and make Newman unemployed at this stage it'll be a disgrace, with some British replacements available, or even a newby from abroad. Still will add a few hundred more pages on here if they do I suppose.
  4. That's what I think and would be interesting to see, especially at a small track like Arlington, may even be in front at bend one.
  5. I'd be interested to see that, I've seen an electric moto x bike on a practice track with a pretty good rider on board and was quite impressive. Think the gap will be wider on a speedway bike, but would be interesting to see, in a demo not a mix of machines obviously.
  6. I'm sure it was as well and still should be. Could sort of understand it if it was a broken collarbone or something, but the poor lad looks to be and for his own good should be out for the season, with riders available it can't be right to start with guests.
  7. Looks fantastic, boy is it going to be quick, so wide, banked and smooth, looks like it should drain well, only thing you'll need is a good watering system/bowser if we do get a good summer again, although normally have a fair bit of the natural watering system in Workington.
  8. You're right, I think I need one for lunch now.
  9. Do you have blue or red tomato ketchup on the bacon banjo, your answer could be important to the job. Mind you imagine you're probably a brown sauce man.....
  10. Think that's a little unfair on Bjarne to be honest, was a good servant to British speedway and always tried,in his prime certainly wasn't average and think he had quite a say in Peterborough's league title in 2021.
  11. The + next to 'quote' on each you want( a tick comes up), then a small box with the number of quotes in it comes up to click.
  12. Don't you just push/click the + 'button' by the quotes you want on any page?
  13. Would a spell at Poole bring Dan Thompson on to the next level? You pretty much know with the other 3 mentioned where they are at and likely to be at, personally think Thompson is worth a try, best case he kicks on at No2, if not straight away will very quickly be at reserve with an experienced rider.
  14. Lot of darts flying around, with one left can you hit the bullseye, or a wire and fall out ?
  15. Probably a full house on a one off, half to cheer him, half to stone him I suppose....
  16. Isn't that something to do with that famous Greek bloke Gerard Butler?
  17. Maybe time to stop the playoffs, would put a finish to all these arguments. Oh no I've opened up that again......
  18. I thought it was going to be this good.....
  19. I enjoy youth racing, but a different level of drawing fans I imagine with the current crop of under 21's, quite a few championship and premiership riders. Obviously be a bit dearer though.
  20. Fingers crossed again! Who's the experienced co-promotor I wonder? On a side note, Jake Knight was one of the best/exciting riders we had in our NL glory days, rode the boards at Arlington unlike any other NL rider, always thought he was so close to making the next step.
  21. Fingers crossed it's a positive one. I know the owners don't really want NL but unless there's something dramatically different from last year with sponsorship etc not sure where we can go. Unless even this summer on a few Sunday afternoons we could go down the IOW ( Nora) route and at least keep the track alive other than stock cars. I'd go just for the noise/smell and introduce a couple of young grandchildren who haven't been to a speedway meeting, a bit more variety might hold their attention for more than 5 mins aswell.
  22. I believe there maybe a team around the corner from them called the Tarrant Hinton Tradesmen's.....
  23. Good job you don't race on a Friday night, Pompey on that day just after 10pm is an experience at times.....
