  1. Heat 12 from last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79FqwuEaKIo
  2. I think you'll find that Dave already has the footage, seeing as he is responsible for editing last night's DVD.... And as only three parties were authorised to film last night's meeting (myself, the Ladbrokes camera and the Sky camera) anyone who did consider posting it online would be rather foolish.
  3. Agreed. Had to chuckle at Sam's comment that no team would be promoted downwards this year.
  4. ReRun filmed the meeting and a request has been received to use some of the footage for a TV report. Hopefully if that happens it will give you a fair bit of extra publicity. Congratulations to all involved. The meeting built to a peak and heat 15 was tremendous. By the way, in all my years of filming I don't think I've ever come across a group as friendly and accomodating as the Exeter management. You have a great group of people there heading your return to the sport.
  5. That's true. But now the highest court in the country has said that all of us, including the appeal judge, are wrong. It may have set a precedent that doesn't bear thinking about.
  6. Because English law is ridiculous, bizarre and flies in the face of common sense, reason, logic and responsibility. The law is clear - it gives equal rights to those idiots who move next to a speedway track (in effect inviting the noise into their lives) as it does to those who have a noise imposed on them. The supreme court has made it clear that the issue of who was there first, and who knew what about the local area, doesn't even enter into it.
  7. That's the question we were asking at Perry Barr on Monday. At one point the riders were sat on their bikes for over 15 minutes, while the screen showed a heat from Poole, followed by Pearson and Ermolenko yakking away, followed by an interview, followed by Pearson and Ermolenko yakking away again, followed by adverts. OK, broadcasters and viewers love "live" sport, but with the numbers involved would it really matter if one meeting was live and the other tape delayed? 30 heats done and dusted by 9:45 that way.
  8. Gary Patchett states that the ref changed his decision. That is why I asked.
  9. I wasn't there - did the light come on to exclude Nielsen? Referees will often have an opinion as to who is at fault, which then alters with the benefit of replays. In the years I've been filming I've never known a single one to make an actual decision and then change it.
  10. It'll be daggers drawn over the buffet table at the Sky Christmas party this year. Get well soon Adam (again! ).
  11. Last week you were telling everyone how wonderful and fantastic and successful the Make Me A Fan initiative has been. One poor crowd for an INDIVIDUAL meeting on a cold, wet night does not mean we are going to drop down a league. Although if we did, I am sure you would still be here, predicting rain-offs and defeats every week. Anyway, back on topic…
  12. Anything's possible I guess. Even with the "security" of a stadium the Brummies crowds have more than halved in that same space of time. Recession, rain-offs, familiarity etc may all have played a part in that. I was told how many people attended our recent home match with Redcar and it was a figure that worried me. Having said that, Cradley were always well supported and while there is the glimmer of hope I don't think too many of your lot will ever become disheartened, even if it takes a while. Having seen some of the get-togethers that the supporters club have organised you still have a fan base, even after all those years of hibernation, that is bigger and more enthusiastic than any other I've come across.
