  2. Jason 'The Primate' Prime (or Jay Melrose as he used to be known when he second-halved at Brough!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kj4VGrFccCA
  3. 5 page thread already started here: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=84452&page=5&do=findComment&comment=2979908
  4. According to Twitter he's riding on Sunday.... https://twitter.com/diamondspeedway/status/877253204362350592
  5. I see Ben Hopwood will (as from 22/6) have a new 2.44 average, meaning that he will go to number 6 and Dan Greenwood to number 7 for our matches against Workington on Sunday.
  6. I think Ludvig, is what he is now, a 7 point(ish) rider. Hasn't really improved for a few seasons. If you want a reliable 7 point man, Ludvig is your man, if you want a rider who's going to improve to an 8/9 point rider, I don't think Ludde is your man.
  7. Not what I've heard. They've gone with a couple of Under-21 riders as reserves (I can't remember who they are!!! I'm sure someone will know!!).
  8. Winning times: Ht 1 68.0 Ht 2 75.6 Ht 3 68.1 Ht 4 74.6 Ht 5 67.8 Ht 6 75.0
  9. Really? Jason Lyons joined mid-season, for a start. The team put together at the beginning was totally ripped apart by the BSPA getting their sums wrong and we weren't allowed to use Matej Ferjan. But, typically, we were told this just as all the decent riders who could have replaced him had all got team places, so were 'lumbered' with Mario Jirout (on a grossly inflated 9.00 ave) and also replaced Kenny Olsson with (the Aussie) Scott Smith. And at the start of the 2004 campaign we rode 14 Prem Trophy matches and won just the one. So 2017 is hardly "running parallel to 2004."
  10. Whilst Steve could be a big miss tonight, an even bigger miss could be "The Elliott Report" if Stevie isn't there watching tonight!!
  11. Taken off the Glasgow Tigers Speedway Facebook page: 1 Richard Lawson 2 Dan Bewley 3 Richie Worrall 4 Nike Lunna 5 Aaron Summers © 6 Tom Perry 7 Jack Smith
  12. Don't know whether they can move it, if Stevie was declared at No. 5, which I presume he would have been. Something in the back of my mind says that it can only happen if the opposition and the meeting referee agree to it and I can't remember when it happened before (I'm sure it did, but it was years, ago).
  13. Or, perhaps, they were waiting until the last minute to give Stevie all the time needed to make a decision?
  14. Ironically, I don't fill in a programme, I print a sheet off the Speedway Plus Programme Generator site ( http://www.speedwayplus.com/programme_generator.shtml ) and fill that in, but, I always buy a programme. Like you say, the lady selling the prog on Thursday did tell me it was an insert, giving people the opportunity to say "no thanks," but of course, you are left without filling the scores in anywhere!
  15. Most track do it though. Why don't they offer the full programme + insert, if people want it, at the full price, or just the insert, for say, 50p (or whatever)?
  16. Taken from the Newcastle website: Team manager George English had to again look back at defeat, saying: "Again ultimately disappointing tonight. Why our form, especially away from Brough Park, is so patchy is something we cannot put our finger on, but the lads know if we don't start taking good points they those vital play-offs will get out of reach and with the side we have this year we deserve to qualify, but it's in their hands. They need to start winning away from home."
  17. It's where he started his career in the UK and stayed with us for 3 seasons before that unfortunate injury in 2012. He made his home in Newcastle, so he is bound to have a 'soft spot' for the place.
  18. Perks (enhanced) 6.51. Ostergaard 6.33
  19. Robert at 1. Stevie at 5. Ben has been at 7 last few matches with Connor at 6.
  20. Fixture is now on our website (still not on the BSPA site though).
  21. Perhaps they couldn't afford them during the winter!!
