  1. It certainly wasn't "5 minutes before the meeting" started two weeks ago.
  2. It will be the same as for the match a fortnight ago, IF Robert is riding in Poland that is. So no ban (sorry to disappoint you), NL rider at number one (prob Josh Embleton) and if the Polish fixture is rained off, Diamonds can use R/R or a guest (unless Mr Vacher or someone else decrees otherwise).
  3. Unfortunately my post was made before I realised the two were missing (forgot it was the SGBPRC on the same night). Once upon a time, you weren't allowed to run on the same night/day as a Shared Event. I know they have to get the fixtures in, but could they not have ran on a different night?
  4. I hope for Workington Speedway's sake, that the crowd is considerably better than it was last week against Newcastle.
  5. That's the worst crowd I have ever seen at Derwent Park and, apparently it was better than the last couple of meetings. It doesn't bode well for the future for my "second team." A few decent races tonight (especially heat 13) and two points for the Diamonds. It's a shame we've started to do well away from home when the season is all but over!
  6. I'm presuming you mean will be the only top rider to withdraw?
  7. Withdrew guesting for Ipswich in the second match of the Double-Header at Edinburgh tonight. Hope just precautionary?
  8. The draw for the Riders' Championship at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium on Sunday, September 24 has been released. Start time 3pm 1. S Worrall 2. J Garrity 3. L Kerr 4. R Wells 5. D King 6. N Morris 7. C Harris 8. J Grajczonek 9. K Howarth 10. C Cook 11. R Lawson 12. S Masters 13. R Worrall 14. R Schlein 15. B Barker 16. J Holder
  9. It was: (Copied and Pasted off Diamonds Website): so with the Newcastle club having no option other than to re-arrange fixtures to get caught up with a fixture backlog then scheduled fixtures take priority and Lambert will be in Poland for their end of season play offs
  10. It really does make you wonder why we bother sometimes.
  11. You would have thought so, but you forget one thing.... this is speedway...
  12. I'm guessing, because there is no facility allowed, it will be an NL 2.00pter.
  13. No, as in the last line of the quote from Alan: "The British authorities have tried to assist us but there is nothing in the current make-up of the rules which would ease our predicament."
  14. Website says (Copied and Pasted from there): This unfortunate scenario is down to the priority of fixtures according to the International Speedway League Board so with the Newcastle club having no option other than to re-arrange fixtures to get caught up with a fixture backlog then scheduled fixtures take priority and Lambert will be in Poland for their end of season play offs. Newcastle co-promoter Alan Hedley said, "We have to get these fixtures raced and this Sunday is an unfortunate consequence for us. Just to be clear we are not releasing Robert to go to Poland but the ISLB have given priority to his Polish club without any recompense to our club." "The British authorities have tried to assist us but there is nothing in the current make-up of the rules which would ease our predicament."
