  1. I've said it before and I will say it again (more than once probably), promoters can't win. If they go ahead and the forecast is spot on, it's "well, that was never going to happen, the forecast said so." Otherwise it's the comment above by iainb .
  2. They are running it tonight, so where's the problem?
  3. Leicester Speedway‏ @SpeedwayLions 9m9 minutes ago More MEETING ALERT Lions boss Stewart Dickson: “The forecast does not look good for tomorrow. We’ve a contingency plan which will be Sunday at 5.30pm. We’d like to thank the Newcastle promotion & riders for agreeing if necessary to run Sunday. A decision will be made at 9am Saturday.

  5. I have to say though, just 12 in each semi-final and in one of them, a rider scored a 12 point maximum, yet only qualified as a reserve! Surely that cannot be right.
  6. Would it not then go to a tribunal, like it did when we bought Matej Kus?
  7. What it doesn't say is, if they are in this country, their employers must know where they are at any time, which, apparently, is a pain in the rear end. This is what I've been told at any rate.
  8. Workington had already announce their seven riders - before then announcing they weren't going to run, don't forget.
  9. Meeting preview here: https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2019-04-17/improving-diamonds-next-at-armadale
  10. Missed the shield meeting and got injured in his only ride in the league.....
  11. Sheffield website preview here: http://www.sheffield-speedway.com/news.php?extend.2689
  12. Company is LJM Asset Management Ltd. https://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/ljm-asset-management
  13. I think the insinuation is that we have zero chance of qualifying from the Shield group.
  14. It was the "old" starting procedure in both matches. The Diamonds have ridden in four matches so far and the "new" procedure has been used just once, at home to Redcar last week. Having said that, two of the matches (away at Redcar and on Sunday at home to Berwick) have had the same referee in charge.
  15. I asked someone last week (a Starting Marshal) and the reply I got was "it's up to the referee." If this is indeed correct (and I have no doubt it is), what's the point of having the rule and being able to use the 'old' rule? It's just going to confuse.
  16. It's on a league basis. 'All' we need to do is win by 7 points or more, to stop them getting any league points.
  17. ..... Lucky guess...... What are tomorrows Lottery Numbers please???
