  1. If he's in the Top three in the averages you can use guest.
  2. All set fair for today's (Sunday 4 July) meeting. NEWCASTLE: Ben Barker, Adam Roynon r/r, Connor Mountain, Max Clegg, Matthew Wethers, James Wright, Jack Parkinson-Blackburn.SCUNTHORPE: Adam Ellis, Simon Lambert, Thomas Jorgensen, Theo Pijper, Tero Aarnio, Josh MacDonald, Jordan Palin.
Steven
  4. From memory he was riding Ludvig Lindgren's bikes. He did OK. Always on the pace. Could be decent on his own equipment. Worth a 'gamble' on a 5.00 average, as Newcastle thought when he was originally going to sign for us.
  5. 6 points. https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/19533/sgp-qualifier-glasgow-08-2019
  6. For those not on Facebook, this is what he said: Today I left the Plymouth club, I cannot find my place in this club. I'm alone in England, with no family, and I don't get any help from this club I have to do everything on my own : I wash my bikes, I prepare them, I do kilometers (11300 on 2 month) to cross the country and all that without a single helping hand. I am alone in everyday life and everyday life in a foreign country is not easy, especially when you are young and without family. For example, several times I found myself stranded at airports because no one came to pick me up. Today I have to work on my departure but if no one gives me the opportunity it is not possible ... I take this opportunity to thank the few people who made the effort to help me. I am a fighter and a volunteer Today, all I want is to evolve and learn how to be the best on the slopes. I’m young and hopeful I need to practice my sport, I need to train every day to be on top. Unfortunately, it turns out that is not possible with the Plymouth club … It is therefore time for me to leave and find another club, more human and supportive, where I can express my potential to the maximum. The adventure is not over, stay tuned Your support is helping me a lot. Steven
  7. Was Andersen declared in the Berwick 1-7 for the (postponed) match against Glasgow? IF he was, then surely they can't revert back? Also, when was the Danish match re-arranged? Was it after Andersen signed?
  8. How can they use R/R for a rider they have replaced??
  9. 2004. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/other-sport/speedway-two-riders-sacked-1625762
  10. No. It should automatically have carried over. Website says "Tickets from today’s postponement have been automatically forwarded to next weeks championship match with Scunthorpe 4pm. If anyone would prefer to be refunded then please email us at Info@newcastle-speedway.co.uk. All refunds requested up to this point have now been authorised."
  11. Tickets available here: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/events/landing?eid=19749&
  12. According to BBC Met Office site any rain (and that's only 40% chance) isn't due until 7pm and that's 3 hours after the start time.
  13. What? We've got three away matches before the next home meeting after Scunthorpe (Redcar on 25 July), so any income will help pay for those three matches, so how does calling it off "make business sense"??
  14. Is that not the rule that can be overturned by the Management Committee "in the interest of speedway"?
  15. Tero Aarnio at number one. Thomas Jorgensen withdrew from his meeting at Edinburgh last night and also withdrew from tonight's meeting.
  16. He's still on an assessed 4.00, so will change soon (4H 4A?)
  17. Now Tero Aarnio after TJ withdrew from tonight's meeting at Edinburgh after a first ride crash.
  18. The rider (in this case Steve Worrall) can be a guest for the home side as many times as he wants. What he can't do is guest for the away side the following week after he's guested for the home side. He can still ride for his club the following week though, as it only counts for guest appearances. Hope that is clear!!
  19. Tickets now available for the return of Bjarne Pedersen (and Alfie Bowtell!). Should be an interesting and entertaining encounter. Steve Worrall again guests at number 1 for the injured Ben Barker. Link to TryBooking.com here: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/events/landing?eid=19744
  20. It will, after 19th July, unless they change their minds..... again....!!!
  21. Top 10 Cafe's in Ulverston (according to TripAdvisor): https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurants-g499564-c8-Ulverston_Lake_District_Cumbria_England.html
