  1. According to Glasgow's website, BWD rides at number one for the Diamonds: https://glasgowtigers.co.uk/cami-brown-new-approach-2022/ UPDATE: above is incorrect. R/R for BWD: Taken off Facebook: With the Diamonds' clash at Glasgow landing on a busy Good Friday schedule, it means of all the other Championship teams, only Plymouth are not racing, but Michael Palm-Toft, Ben Barker and Hans Andersen have other commitments already and cannot deputise, so after much searching the Diamonds will need to operate rider-replacement at the Glasgow Tigers on Friday.
  2. I will be delighted (ecstatic even) if we reach 35. It's a bit like when we used to go to Sheffield and celebrate scoring 30. Whoever rides at number 1 (providing we don't go with R/R) will improve things, obviously, but by how much remains to be seen. Anyway this is the Leicester v Newcastle thread, so best keep the Glasgow v Newcastle things to that thread.
  3. I'll be there on Friday, with at least one other (maybe two), thanks to a lottery win...... (£66 on the Hot Picks!!).
  4. There will be at least 2! Might be difficult, as Berwick are at Edinburgh on the same night!
  5. Yes. John Ellsbury, but I'm not sure if it's still for Ken Burnett's company T2TV.
  6. He hasn't got British parentage, I don't think. That's why he's on an assessed 4.00 average, rather than a 3.00.
  7. Line-up change for Diamonds. Ricky Wells guests at No 1 for the injured Bradley Wilson-Dean, who aggravated a shoulder injury last night.
  8. As far as I understand it, Congreve is not allowed to ride in the NDL.
  9. A doubt very much if any rider is on a guarantee.
  10. Dogs aren't allowed at Brough for Speedway meetings (at least they weren't) LOL
  11. Just the 31 points to make up for the Diamonds Hopefully it will be a decent meeting and the Diamonds can get out of the gate a wee bit quicker than some have been (this before the Leicester meeting on Sat night) in previous meetings. Probable line-ups: Diamonds: Bradley Wilson-Dean, Matthew Wethers, James Wright, Max Clegg, Paul Starke, Lee Complin, George Congreve. Bears: Charles Wright, Adam Roynon, Lewis Kerr, Kasper Andersen, Erik Riss, Jordan Jenkins, Tom Woolley.
  12. A bit late for the Redcar v Newcastle Tyne Tees Trophy match.
  13. The idea was that many of the riders had ridden for, or had a connection, with Stoke, as a memory to Dave Tattum. The side had riders who are pretty useful around Brough, so the averages are pretty obsolete, IMO.
  14. James could have gone in ht 15 had Paul not been disqualified. But, because Starkey had been DQ'd, a reserve had to come in.
  15. The only way round it, as far as I can see, is start earlier than 4pm, to avoid the dark. As to "why?" you better ask ARC to answer that one.
  16. As erniew says, it's no joke. I was informed a few weeks ago that this was the case and I didn't believe it at first either, until it was confirmed at P&P.
  17. Facebook Page says "We will be looking to re-arrange this for the 3rd time later in the season and will keep you all updated."
  18. Weather forecast looking OK for Sunday's opening meeting. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcybsr236#?date=2022-04-03
