  1. Weather forecast looking OK for Sunday's opening meeting. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcybsr236#?date=2022-04-03
  2. I doubt he will say "I've lost interest in the sport," or "I don't love the sport like I used to," or something similar. He's got to appear positive, otherwise the fans would certainly get 'on his back.'
  3. Is Josh Auty technically witholding his services? If so, a 28-day ban could be forthcoming.
  4. Bearing in mind it's taken this long to find 7 riders, where exactly are they to find a replacement?
  5. 2012 1st Leg Sheff 58 Diamonds 32. 2nd Leg Diamonds 62 Sheff 28. Diamonds won 94-86 on agg.
  6. Wolves website: WOLVERHAMPTON: Sam Masters, Luke Becker, Nick Morris, Ryan Douglas, Steve Worrall, Drew Kemp, Leon Flint, Joe Thompson (No.8).BIRMINGHAM: Chris Harris, Ashley Morris, Claus Vissing, Josh Auty, Ben Barker, James Shanes, James Pearson.
  7. There appears to be some confusion!!! Anyway, either way, it didn't really add too much to the misery of the "disappointing" performance from ourselves on track. Incidentally, I haven't commented on the Roynon/Wilson-Dean incident as I genuinely didn't see it as I was filling in my programme at the time.
  8. http://www.birmingham-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3123 See the bit which says "However, due to a prior league commitment in France this weekend, Birmingham have named Ben Morley as a member of their team for Saturday's (March 26, 7pm) Knockout Cup clash at Leicester."
  9. Could have sworn Keith announced it as an interval. Apologies if incorrect.
  10. Positives from last night - 6 Diamonds riders got some laps in. Negatives from last night (apart from the obvious) - 2 min warning light off bend 4 needs a bulb in it. The Programme was full of mistakes (eg Peter Complin, Stewart Robson, but there was many others). Not a fan of having an interval, just as the temperature starts to drop, especially for those who like to stay behind to watch the Juniors. Fine in the middle of summer, but not while still in March! Still have to give riders (especially Brad, Matty and Lee who are all coming back from injury/retirement) time to settle in. George hasn't seen, let alone rode, any of the tracks (apart from Leicester), so must be given a little leeway, but it will be interesting to see how he does when he starts making the gate. A race win will give his confidence a massive boost. Get well soon Paul Starke.
  11. Preview here: http://www.redcar-speedway.com/2022/03/24/roynon-its-going-to-be-a-great-season/
  12. Another pic from Steve Lawson on Twitter:

  14. I'd guess that, with no restrictions currently, you will be able to pay at the gate (you will still be able to buy online, of course).
  15. I'd personally switch the reserves around, otherwise I'd agree with that line up. Hard to tell on the pics but the pits seem pretty much in the same position (pics are on Facebook). I believe they are containers, with the fronts 'chopped off.'
  16. New pits, as the old ones "blew away" during the storms, according to Dave Tinning at the Meet the Riders Night.
  17. Seems so and the good news is Fans are now going to be allowed into the stadium. Taken off Facebook: Following discussions with the landlords, the public are allowed into the stadium on press and practice on Sunday 20th March. Doors open at 11am with riders taking to the track at 12. No indoor grandstand facilities are open but the outside terrace will be open and the catering van will be there to purchase food from. Entry is via the main fire exit gate.
  18. Been at Abbey Stadium since 1949. Before that they raced at the now demolished Gorse Hill Aerodrome, where dirt track racing had taken place since 1928
  19. Could it be I'm using Google Chrome and others (that it works for) are using something else?
