Lasted longer than Manu H, who made it to the first corner (iirc) and was never seen again!
-
Complin on a 4.00 if you look at the Plymouth set of averages, which could still be his (re)assessed start of season average?

See previous post regards the "£20". I presume the NDL matches are going to be all Double Headers with CL matches, as you can't buy a Season Ticket for them separately? Maybe @crescent girl can inform?

It's to give the track extra time to recover: https://www.racingpost.com/news/festive-blow-for-sedgefield-as-boxing-day-fixture-one-of-four-racedays-moved/588595

Most teams would fit in the Prem, as they are mainly the same riders, with, maybe, slightly different averages!! No doubt whoever the 1-7 are, along with a track that always produces good racing, together it should get people to Redcar for every meeting and that's all you can ask for. If they win a trophy or two along the way, that's a bonus.

SGB Championship 2023 Confirmed Signings
StevePark replied to Nickinho's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Tom Brennan back at Glasgow -
SGB Statement says "The league is awaiting confirmation from Armadale and Mildenhall who are currently looking into various availability issues, and it is very much hoped that both clubs will come to the table next year."
-
If they did, I would doubt they would take any notice anyway.

ALL prospective Promoters have to go through the interview process and I'm pretty sure that both Steve and Dave went through the same process as everyone else who wanted to become a promoter, but, I'm sure you are well aware of this anyway.
-
Yes. KO Cup, "any" Trophy and Play-offs don't count.
-
Could be a trump card at home, but may struggle away.
-
I'm assuming this is for me (!), so here goes. Yes you are correct, you must have two promoters, in case something happens to one of them, so that the Tim Stone scenario didn't happen again. Granty had to have an experienced promoter alongside him when he took over and Dave Tattum came on board. When Dave became ill, I believe Neil Machin stepped in to help Rob out in that respect (but I could be wrong on this). Of course he (RG) later added Steve Pate and Dave Tinning to the promotion.
-
He had to go "into partnership" with a former promoter because the rules say a new promoter has to have an experienced promoter alongside him (I think it's for 2 years), before going "solo." I'm sure he would have rather have gone in on his own at the beginning, if given that choice. If someone came in in the future, they would now be "starting from scratch." Ignoring the fact that it's pretty obvious ARC don't want speedway at Brough, even if they had a change of heart and agreed to have speedway back, any new owner would have to begin right from the start, as, as you say, nothing is left (apart from the track shape). Finding a new plot of land to begin elsewhere would take bags of cash and a whole bundle of red tape to get through I shouldn't wonder, even if somewhere could be found and that might be the most difficult part.
-
It doesn't really matter "what was said." It's what was agreed at the AGM that counts, although I know where you're coming from. I might "pop along" to Redcar occasionally in 2023 (when finances allow and dependent on the opposition) or maybe Berwick (although the racing isn't as good), but I am kind of glad I haven't got a team to "support" (nearly) every week. All my enthusiasm for the sport dwindles every year and this year even more so, since the Diamonds shut.

Yeah..... but in the "interest of the sport" etc., etc.

SGB Championship 2023 Confirmed Signings

So not starting until 2024 then?? (sorry, couldn't resist!!).

Sadly, the fans are the last thing they take notice of.

Disagree with this, as you are giving home teams a point for doing something they really should be doing anyway (winning by +6). Three points for a home win should be suffice. With the away team getting a Bonus Point for a loss of -6 or less, two points for an away draw and four points for an away win (of any amount).fice, with points for the away team "getting close" (a losing bonus point for example if you lose by less than six) and 2 points for an away draw and four points for a +6 away win.
