Sad to hear about the death (via his wife on Facebook) of former rider Laurie Etheridge. Laurie rode for the likes of Exeter, Rayleigh, Hackney, Crayford, Sheffield, Coventry and Canterbury. He won the 1975 National League Riders Championship.

That would be one (big?) change. What would the others be, then? Can't really see what more Stewart could do. How much of the team named at the start of the year was actually his for example (I don't know, which is why I ask). -

Genuine question. Can you award a race after one completed lap? -
Championship Pairs Oxford 16th August 2024
StevePark replied to Triple.H.'s topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So, you would award the title to Redcar, but at the same time deny punters the chance of seeing 21 heats - which they've paid for and, presumably, deny riders earning points money from that heat? -
When the little 'un starts school and one day is ill, will they send Chris Harris as a 'Guest'? Just wondered! Seriously though, congrats to all concerned.

Berwick v Workington CL 10/08/24 7-00pm
StevePark replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Saw much better racing than I've ever seen at Berwick. I can count the decent meetings for entertainment I've seen at Berwick on one hand. And yes, I've seen quite a few. -

Shouldn't have done the interview then! -
Redcar can't replace Bailey (I know he's temp quit, but should amount to the same thing??).

Scunthorpe v Plymouth Double Header (2nd/3rd)
StevePark replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thomas Jorgensen did a similar thing at Newcastle a few years back, leaving his bike in the middle of the 1st/2nd bend. He was riding for Scunthorpe at the time. -
Redcar Bears v Workington Comets 2nd August 2024
StevePark replied to A.N.Other's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I believe (someone will correct me if I'm wrong), but Ace is an unattached (in the Champ) NDL rider and they weren't given a facility for Vissing. -
Workington Comets V Redcar Bears 03/08/24 3pm

With six teams riding today/tonight, that only leaves three teams to pick guests from, so choices limited!! -
Just the one?? LOL

Really??? (see what I did there!!). -
That's as maybe, but, unless things have changed, clubs have to have a certain number of assets (can't remember how many).

No.
