  1. Not quite true. 2nd leg abandoned after 9 heats - 3 races short of the 'result stands'. Whilst I have simpathy for Workington, if they couldn't (for whatever reason) re-arrange for a second attempt at completing the fixture, Ipswich were ahead at the time of the stoppage and rightly go through to the final.
  2. Ones that are washed out (1 day, limited over, T20 etc.). Yes, there is a points system in place, but they aren't rearranged and played at a later date.
  3. Yes indeed from GRT Media. It should be in the Workington and Newcastle track shops for the next home matches. I'm sure Bob will confirm!
  4. ..... And you can buy the DVD to watch it again and again and again......
  5. Oh, aye!!!! Well spotted!!!! Still won't be able to ride as he'll be riding for Scunny though!
  6. Won't be the guest in the second leg for two reasons 1) The 8-day rule and 2) Scunthorpe are at home to Somerset in the Second leg of the PL PLay-off Final. Well done lads in getting through!
  7. Aaron Summers was going to guest at Edinburgh tonight. Craig Cook on stand-by for tomorrow. See here:- http://www.workingtoncomets.co/content/injury-news-update-0
  8. Craig Cook has tweeted that he's "not needed" by Workington tomorrow. Can we assume Richard Lawson is fit?
  9. Tony Jackson tells us about Kenny Ingalls 2013 here :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkuDii-Nn-o&feature=g-all-u.
  10. Some Scunthorpe fans behind me (3rd and 4th bend, too! Looking straight down the home straight), thought the same thing. As did I, I might add.
  11. Do you know the meaning of the word 'provisional'? Nothing wrong with clubs saying what will happen IF they get through. Well done Cookie on the win. Deserved it on the day. Pity the gate wins were a bit lop-sided (always favoured the inside gates), a couple of decent overtakes, but, again, not the greatest of meetings, which seem to drag on, even if you take the hold ups after Auty's crash out of the equation. Couldn't see the point of a 20-odd minute interval, especially when the start was delayed by 20 minutes, when you consider 3 riders in the meeting and numerous officials and fans had to head to Newcastle for a 7.30pm start.
  12. With Ippo 2 up on aggregate. I'm guessing Ippo will go through to the final as Worky won't want to stage another Double Header next week (my guess. I don't actually know, of course!).
  13. Yet, according to the Berwick Twitter feed - "Late change for Redcar, Adam McKinna replaces the ill Max Dilger"......
  14. According to 'the Journal', Newcastle's guests are Paul Starke and Michael Palm Toft.
  15. It's not 'over two legs' though, is it? It's two seperate matches.
  16. It depends on the agreement with the Rugby club as far as stadium rent is concerned. It could be that the agreement is for each meeting and a double header might cost more for rental (I obviously don't know, which is why I say "could"). There will be two lots of points money, two lots of away travel money, four sets of tyres and perhaps extra medical cover expenses too. The tyre cost alone will be in the region of £1200. As a recent guide, Somerset recently charged £23 for the double header with Newcastle, whilst the return double header at Brough was £25.
  17. Can't argue with that. Now we have rolling averages, perhaps all matches should be included.
  18. You're original argument didn't include the KOC. You stated "Thats what I was saying to a mate last week who was convinced they did. However there is no more reason for them not to count than the north/south split League Cup fixtures from the start of the season that do so my mates view is not completely stupid albeit wrong!" The KOC isn't included because teams ride an un-equal number of matches, this 'back in the day' when the Premier Trophy had an equal balance of teams in each group, so all teams (use to) ride the same number of matches in the PT.
  19. Yes there is. All teams were involved in that tournament, whereas Plymouth are not in the play-offs/PCT, so not all teams are involved.
  20. He doesn't (as far as I know) and his PL average is higher than Steve W's anyway!
