  1. Aye. Don't give Newcastle any credit for adapting to the conditions better than Ipswich, or riding better (or anything). Great team performance by the Diamonds. Scoring points when it mattered. Not over yet, though, as it often has a habit of biting you on the bum when you least expect it. But it goes a long way in helping the cause of lifting some silverware and it would be a traversty if we didn't get anything out of the season.
  2. Paul isn't listed in the I.O.W team to travel to Stoke on Sunday on the Stoke website. Fantastic gesture by the Islanders releasing him to ride for us.
  3. Yes, I know it was shown! I recorded it. Screm wanted a link for BBC IPlayer (or whatever) and because it was part of the Sports section it will be edited out of the IPlayer repeat, is what I meant.
  4. Young lad is called Archie Freeman. He's 7 years old. Yes, he's part of the Dave Rowland training school and has been encouraged by all the Diamonds riders throughout this season. He is going to start racing next year at his age level. Unfortunatley the piece might not be available as it was part of the Sports section.
  5. Matty rides in both. There is a preview on the Newcastle website of this weekends matches here:- http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/previews/article.asp?id=100003
  6. I think Paul Starke will be guesting on Saturday at Ipswich, but the Isle of Wight are at Stoke on Sunday, so I don't think he'll be guesting in the 2nd leg for us.
  7. Not quite true. 2nd leg abandoned after 9 heats - 3 races short of the 'result stands'. Whilst I have simpathy for Workington, if they couldn't (for whatever reason) re-arrange for a second attempt at completing the fixture, Ipswich were ahead at the time of the stoppage and rightly go through to the final.
  8. Ones that are washed out (1 day, limited over, T20 etc.). Yes, there is a points system in place, but they aren't rearranged and played at a later date.
  9. Yes indeed from GRT Media. It should be in the Workington and Newcastle track shops for the next home matches. I'm sure Bob will confirm!
  10. ..... And you can buy the DVD to watch it again and again and again......
  11. Oh, aye!!!! Well spotted!!!! Still won't be able to ride as he'll be riding for Scunny though!
  12. Won't be the guest in the second leg for two reasons 1) The 8-day rule and 2) Scunthorpe are at home to Somerset in the Second leg of the PL PLay-off Final. Well done lads in getting through!
  13. Aaron Summers was going to guest at Edinburgh tonight. Craig Cook on stand-by for tomorrow. See here:- http://www.workingtoncomets.co/content/injury-news-update-0
  14. Craig Cook has tweeted that he's "not needed" by Workington tomorrow. Can we assume Richard Lawson is fit?
  15. Tony Jackson tells us about Kenny Ingalls 2013 here :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkuDii-Nn-o&feature=g-all-u.
  16. Some Scunthorpe fans behind me (3rd and 4th bend, too! Looking straight down the home straight), thought the same thing. As did I, I might add.
  17. Do you know the meaning of the word 'provisional'? Nothing wrong with clubs saying what will happen IF they get through. Well done Cookie on the win. Deserved it on the day. Pity the gate wins were a bit lop-sided (always favoured the inside gates), a couple of decent overtakes, but, again, not the greatest of meetings, which seem to drag on, even if you take the hold ups after Auty's crash out of the equation. Couldn't see the point of a 20-odd minute interval, especially when the start was delayed by 20 minutes, when you consider 3 riders in the meeting and numerous officials and fans had to head to Newcastle for a 7.30pm start.
